Disturbing docu
Roma733 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Interesting straightforward documentary that interviews both the man accused of murdering his wife and his wife's friends and family, and many other people involved. It left me feeling empty and hungry for justice.

* Possible spoilers * Somewhere online a critic compared this to the Making A Murderer documentary, but I feel this is more a How to Acquit the Guilty. There's an excellent Spanish documentary on Netflix about the framing of a lesbian woman for her stepdaughter's murder. But this is something else completely. We'll never know what exactly happened but something feels very off to me. And to think the man got a lot of money too, as compensation. Compensation for what? There's lots of evidence pointing towards murder. The only reason he's a free man is the botched prosecution and the fact that one can't entirely exclude, no matter how unlikely, that pills and alcohol contributed to her death. Like the jury I can't say he did it for sure, so I can see how they've set him free. But he doesn't seem truthful to me at all.
