This episode was so effing good, I saw it twice!!

Warning: Spoilers
And that's primarily because of the plot, in which systems engineer Sienna Marchione (played by real-life deaf actress Raquel McPeek Rodriguez) is the only survivor of a break-in at Heptagon Technologies that resulted in top-secret technology uploaded onto somebody's flashdrive before Sienna could have a chance to stop it. In so doing, she manages to take out two mercenaries; unfortunately the third one got away. Now get this: Sienna Marchoine is a computer expert, adept in hand-to-hand combat (she would make an excellent mixed martial artist), comes from a Navy family that first saw combat during the Second World War, knows sign language, and just happens to be deaf. She still wants to serve her country, to the point where she joins Kensi Blye and the rest of the NCIS gang in recovering the technology before a couple of Saudi billionaires put it on the black market. By the by, this technology is a next-generation exo-skeleton that renders its wearers invisible. Not only that, it renders ships, submarines, aircraft, and tanks invisible to radar systems. That changes the rules of combat, does it not? So this episode wanders into science fiction territory. Shane Brennan and Scott Gimmell would make a grave mistake in not adding Raquel McPeek Rodriguez permamently to the cast. I would like to see more of Sienna Marchione. The showrunners already fouled up the Harmon Rabb/Sarah MacKenzie relationship a while back. Don't miss the opportunity to have Raquel McPeek Rodriguez in the cast for good. And this reviewer can hardly wait for Linda Hunt to reprise her role of Hetty Lange; she's supposed to come back for this season's final episode. Nell Jones would be so relieved. She's just not managerial material, is all. And I don't like how her romance with Eric Beale went down the crapper. Thanks for nothing, Brennan and Gimmell. And let's add Gerald McRaney to the cast. Anyway, this was a great episode. And let's have Densi have their child already, okay? Make it happen. That's all.

Another good episode

Warning: Spoilers
Good episode, hopefully we'll get to see more of Sienna Marchione. She would be great addition to the show.

One gripe however, Sam lay down to shoot gunman in the lower leg from under a car, but then didn't shoot the tyres of the suv that came in to rescue said gunman! Come on script writers, be realistic.

About time, is NCIS Los Angeles on the rebound?
bmiller591 June 2021
Now this is a great episode, and like a previous reviewer I saved it to my DVR and watched it again,...and I enjoyed it even more. The two newer members of the team (Fatima & Devin) are NOT fitting in. Without Hetty, the edge and enjoyment (for me anyway) is gone, the shows rhythm has been disturbed and the new Eric is disturbing as well.

In this episode we are teased with yet again, another new character, Sienna. Here we go again. Halfway through the episode my wife and I looked up and realized we will take Sienna and trade away Fatima & Devin. Sienna was great, she would be a welcome addition to the team.

And then there's Nell, or, WWHD. Nell finally figured it out, as acknowledged by Admiral Kilbride, Sam, & G. Is there ANY role Gerald McRaney CANNOT do?

I really got on-board with this episode and want more.

I tried real hard in this review to NOT reveal any spoilers, as I just talked about the characters. This is a character driven show, and I feel the characters have been messed with too much...and NOT replaced.

Sue Thomas F.B.EYE?
radarfirs710 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
(Update) My review is to point out this show & Sue Thomas FB EYE are trying to help "Deaf" (But could also Help others with Disabilities) to show their capabilities to be part of Shows / Entertainment and the ability for others not be so timid around them. This update was added due to I could not understand why people would do a Thumbs down? The IMDb "how to do a Review" also covers to possibly not just rewrite the Shows Outline or Script; but show things that were interesting that maybe the writers/cast/etc are pointing to or even someone else that the Show Connected to. I have worked with Deaf, Blind, Mute, Wheelchaired, and even Bed Bound. Sadly many do a "Thumbs Down" only because they ONLY want a review to cover "Outline, or Script".

Could this be a Start of doing what the Show Sue Thomas F. B. Eye didn't get to continue? If you never saw that show, look it up. She is a Deaf Person that worked with the F. B. I. In this Episode, get to meet a Deaf Person that is simular, and add fighting skills. Does Sign, can hear with a hearing aid, reads lips, computer skills, and has family even back to USS Hornet (Known for the Doolittle Raid). Could NCIS LA actually be bringing back (Rhetorical Question here) what Sue Thomas F. B. Eye show did? Showing people with Disabilities, usually have other abilities that are seen as Super Human. Show ends with hints this is a STRONG Possibility. This Character Sienna Marchione, even sees things that the NCIS Agents missed (Smell Sense on Epicac Syrup Clue) just like Sue Thomas (In real life) did vs FBI Agents. If this show doesn't make her a main character, would only show the writers as i was wrong that maybe they were not trying to help the Disabled. Each of us are Disabled. I am somewhat tone deaf, so during the "Disco" days and I was a USO DJ found out why I am not fit for the Music area but did not stop me in working in the Healthcare field (USN/USMC Corpsman and later a RN/BSN).

Signs of Change
bobcobb30124 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Back to back good episodes here for NCIS: Los Angeles. I had to check my sound to make sure there wasn't an issue at the beginning, and then I quickly noticed what they were going for. Always good when TV showcases the amazing work deaf people are capable of and if this law is true, it is crazy that they cannot serve in the military.

It slowed down a little bit as the episode progressed, but at least I maintained my interest throughout the entire hour. This has been a shaky, COVID-raddled season for NCIS: Los Angeles, but this episode, and the one last week, give me hope for the future of the franchise.
