The hotel that Bill and Sookie check into in Dallas is called Carmilla. Carmilla, by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu, is the title of one of the first vampire novels, published in 1872. It is the basis for numerous films, including Vampyr (1932), Blood and Roses (1960), Crypt of the Vampire (1964), Carmilla (1999) and Carmilla (2011). Carmilla was also the name of the main vampire villain in Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (2000)
While staying in hotel Carmilla, Sookie checks out the adult channels on the tv. They are titled Intercourse With The Vampire: The Sexual History of Vampires, His First FANGBANG: Who Will He Choose? and Co-Ed Chowdown: Real Fangs Hot Vamp on Vamp Action!
