Netflix’s My Demon is the talk of the town this winter season. The fantasy drama stars two huge names, Song Kang and Kim Yoo-Jung, in the leading roles of a 200-year-old demon and the human he falls in love with. From expensive luxury outfits to lavish localities and the visuals of the leading couple, the show screams “popular schoolkid.” Seeing as the show is the season’s biggest trend, fans are waiting with bated breath for the next episode. Unfortunately, the K-drama has been postponed by a week by Sbs as the network plans on airing the year-end drama award show, “2023 Sbs Drama Awards,” this weekend. Of course, this has left fans devastated, as it’s already a struggle waiting for weekly episodes. Now we meet our favorite demon and his wife in the new year on the 5th and 6th of January.

Rowoon and Jo Bo-Ah are back, and it’s really shocking that these two stunning actors haven’t been paired with each other previously. The fantasy genre is so popular in the Korean industry, and it’s always a blend of all things fun, drama, and romance that makes it extremely entertaining. Destined With You definitely feels similar to some of our favorites like Goblin, My Roommate Is A Gumiho, and Hotel Del Luna. The first episode is quite intriguing, with an interesting premise and random connections that make us ready to dive into this world immediately. Destined With You promises curses, wooden boxes, bloody hands, and, of course, soul-mate-level romance that stems from generational connections.

AnnetteVenice Airport, July 6, an ungodly hour in the early morning. I am typing in a state of somnolence, lulled by the chugging and whirring of the espresso machines, clutching my laptop and a handful of bus and plane tickets that promise to drop me in Cannes in time for lunch. By the time this first dispatch is over, I’ll have hopped on my first flight in two years, picked up a badge, set camp in town, spat into my first Covid test and watched the opening film, Leos Carax’s Adam-Driver-and-Marion-Cotillard-musical Annette. I do not expect to be any less sleep-deprived than I am already. But that’s all part of the Cannes package—the sensory overload, and the chronic fatigue that comes with it. In my tote bag this year I’ve chucked a copy of Roger Ebert’s journal from the 1987 edition, “Two Weeks in the Midday...

Five years after breaking out on the international film circuit with her acclaimed horror film “Raw,” French filmmaker Julia Ducournau is back with a new thriller and her first Palme d’Or contender. Premiering in competition at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival this July is “Titane,” a mysterious new Ducournau movie starring Agathe Rousselle and Vincent Lindon (who won the Best Actor prize at Cannes 2015 for his performance in “The Measure of a Man”).
Ducournau is no stranger to Cannes. Her short film “Junior” premiered at Cannes 2011 and won the Petit Rail d’Or, while “Raw” debuted at Critics’ Week during Cannes 2016 and won the Fipresci Prize.
“Titane” is so mysterious that Neon is not even providing an official synopsis for the movie. Instead, the studio provided a definition for the movie’s title: “A metal highly resistant to heat and corrosion, with high tensile strength alloys, often used in medical...

Again tonight, I can’t sleep cuz I’m thinking of you
Oh every night
What am I to you? I’m curious
Please tell me now
Without even knowing, my feelings grow deeper
I’m seeping into you
As much as I waited, it’ll grow thicker
Ask the moon
Tell me now, how you do it?
My nights are filled with you
Stare me now, I wanna be your moon
Though I know I’m still awkward and inexperienced
Still, I’ll hold out my hand
