Brigid Maher has signed a distribution deal with Typecast Releasing for her documentary about Muslim women religious leaders, "Veiled Voices."
Shot over the course of two years, "Voices" was produced and directed by Maher, an assistant professor in the Film and Media Arts Division at American University, Washington D.C.
Typecast will handle the film's festival bookings as well as broadcast, DVD and digital distribution in the United States.
Founded in 2005 by John Sinno of Arab Film Distribution, Typecast Films previously released the Oscar-nominated documentary "Iraq in Fragments" and, more recently, festival award-winners such as "Remnants of a War" and "The Corporal's Diary."...
