Minor Threat have released a new EP, titled Out of Step Outtakes, to mark the 40th anniversary of their only studio album. Stream it below via Apple Music or Spotify.
The three-song collection contains material recorded during the original Out of Step sessions in January 1983, Minor Threat’s first time in the studio as a five-piece band. During that period, they did new versions of “In My Eyes” and “Filler”. Using the remaining blank tape on the reel, they also recorded an instrumental called “Addams Family,” which wound up being used as a coda to “Cashing In.”
All three songs ended up being sealed in Minor Threat’s vault for over 35 years, until the multitrack tapes were taken to the studio to be digitized in 2021. Upon the discovery, singer Ian MacKaye and Don Zientara mixed the tracks to be included on Out of Step Outtakes. Pick up your 7-inch vinyl copy here.

A new EP containing unreleased Minor Threat music will coincide with the 40th anniversary of the band’s only full-length studio album, Out of Step. Aptly dubbed Out of Step Outtakes, the three-song EP contains material recording during the original Out of Step sessions in 1983. It will be released on December 1st via singer Ian MacKaye’s Dischord Records.
The sessions that spawned Out of Step Outtakes occurred in January 1983, marking Minor Threat’s first time in the studio as a five-piece band. Experimenting with the new sound, they cut new versions of their songs “In My Eyes” and “Filler,” both previously released on their debut EP, 1981’s Minor Threat, as well as a handful of other tracks. Afterwards, they had blank tape left on the reel, and decided to record an instrumental song titled “Addams Family,” which was ultimately adapted into a coda for Out of Step’s hidden track,...

T.J. Miller’s career is driven by one mission statement: “Life is a pretty tragic endeavor, so you want to make as many people laugh as possible, and to do that, you've got to do it on all levels.” Sure, it’s pretty altruistic, he admits to Et, but it’s been working handsomely to guide his career forward.

This time of year is traditionally tough for WWE. Things have been no different in 2015, because wrestling fans at large didn’t react with any sense of overwhelming positivity towards Survivor Series. An injury to Seth Rollins meant the company had to reshuffle the card quickly, eventually culminating in a tournament final between Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose.
Moments after Reigns emerged victorious, winning the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Title, Sheamus made his presence felt. Cashing in his ‘Money In The Bank’ privileges, the big Irishman left the pay-per-view as WWE Champion. On television, Sheamus has been painted as the new crown jewel of The Authority. Blood Crush: Stockwell Returns to Exotic Paradise for B Movie Thrills
Considering that In the Blood was scripted by James Robert Johnston (The Howling Reborn; Joy Ride 2) and Bennett Yellin (Dumb & Dumber films) plus directed by actor/director John Stockwell, you might be surprised at how competently structured it is, even as it operates solely on the fumes of generic derivatives, plumbing the depths of any number of B action film tropes. Cashing in on Gina Carano’s headlining presence, it can’t quite manage to escape feeling like the poor man’s version of Haywire 2, though an intriguing supporting cast distracts from the silliness of it all as it glides along to a truncated denouement.
Opening with Ava’s (Gina Carano) narration about how her father turned her into a brutal killing machine and how she remembered his death, a scene of brutal violence segues to 12 years later in Arlington,...

The Wolf of Wall Street is appropriately set to be one of the top earning films of 2014. It follows the story of a young Wall Street entrepreneur who is displaced by a market crash and sets up his own business, becoming one of the industry’s top earners and filling his home and office with lurid displays of wealth. His insatiable desire for money eventually propels him straight into a jail cell, along with a vast amount of emotional trauma and drug misuse.
It, in short, is fantastic.
Many have tipped it as DiCaprio’s greatest ever performance, and it’s a typical example of the inspired directing that we’ve come to expect from the masterful Scorsese.
But it’s probably not also an example of the way we should live our lives.

Toronto -- Tina Keeper ("North of 60"), Don Burnstick, Jennifer Baxter and Blues musician Derek Miller have joined the second season cast of the Canadian TV soap "Cashing In" from Animiki See Digital Productions and Buffalo Gal Pictures.
They join a returning cast for the Aptn half-hour dramedy about a fictional First Nations-run gambling palace in Manitoba that includes Eric Schweig, Wesley French, Karen Holness, Glen Gould and Sarah Podemski.
The comic series has found cult status by portraying aboriginal Canadians as sexy and wealthy in a modern casino setting, rather than telling traditional stories in Canada's Great White North.
Vanessa Loewen and Jean du Toit are producing "Cashing In," with Peter Strutt and Phyllis Laing executive producing.
