The overall story of this episode is good. The Spencer character story arc was decent writing. I liked this aspect of the series that someone was having problems dealing with being on the ship and not getting along with anyone. These events, coupled with getting himself in trouble with the crew a couple times, culminating in his suicide was a good end to his character. This whole series was dark and depressing, in a good way, so it makes sense that some characters would be depressed and be unable to handle it.
The one thing I don't like about this episode, however, is Rush's actions after the suicide. For being such a smart guy he does really foolish, dumb things. I don't like how some members of the crew conspire against others, especially since they all have the same goal. And Rush being anti-Young because Young wants to get everyone off the ship and back home is a little ridiculous. Rush is a bit annoying and his character is inconsistent. He's so smart but so dumb.
