Towards the end of filming the Police arrived on set thinking something may have happened to Director Mathew J. Wilkinson after a local noticed fake blood all through his car.
Director Mathew J. Wilkinson got the idea for the film while driving through the Adelaide Hills one Christmas and being scared by a roadside Christmas display. He then based the lead characters off of a running theme of traits he saw on Youtube celebrities whilst in coivd-19 lock down.
The Andy character mentions the threats of the Australian bush, including snakes, spiders and bush fires. All three were witnessed on set. Actor Daniel Moody and Director Mathew J. Wilkinson discovered a clutter of spiders on a log Andy was meant to sit on. A giant brown snake slithered past actress Kathleen Halligan just before shooting the scene of her exiting the tent and the Cherry Gardens Bushfire almost stopped filming on the 24th of January 2021.
This is the first film Mathew J. Wilkinson has made without the assistance of Scott Whitecross. Keith Betts is the only actor to return from any previous projects made by the director.
