On April 21st fans of "The Vampire Diaries" will get to meet a character we've been hearing about for months now: "original" vampire Klaus. And today we know a little more about what said meeting will entail. Read on for the synopsis of Episode 19, entitled appropriately enough "Klaus".
Episode 19 "Klaus" (4/21/11 Air Date):
Klaus (Guest Star Joseph Morgan, “Ben Hur”) Is Revealed — Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) are furious when they discover that Elena (Nina Dobrev) has defied them both to make a new ally and take control of the plan to out-maneuver Klaus (Morgan). Disagreement over how to protect Elena leads to growing tension between the Salvatore brothers. Meanwhile, Stefan has his hands full trying to keep a confused and frightened Jenna (Sara Canning) safe.
Flashbacks to 1491 reveal Katherine’s (Nina Dobrev) introduction to Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Klaus, along with the origin of the moonstone curse.

The current break in airings of "The Vampire Diaries" will be over on April 7th, and then fans of the series will have just a two-week wait before seeing how well Joseph Morgan fares in the role of original vampire Klaus. If his co-star Ian Somerhalder is correct, we can expect him to be "magnificent".
@IanSomerhalder tweeted tonight: At dinner with Julie Plec, Paul Sommers(Tvd director of photography),Elena, Stefan,Elijah, and Klaus. This got us a little curious as to when exactly Klaus might be making his debut, and thanks to EW.com the date of April 21st has been confirmed.
Per EW, Morgan’s casting is in line with what exec producers have teased all along. Exec producer Kevin Williamson [said] the role would go to someone younger. “It has to be someone that we truly believe was in a relationship with Katherine because that’s where it started.

It’s the casting fans of The Vampire Diaries have been waiting months for: British actor Joseph Morgan has officially been confirmed as Klaus, the oldest and baddest of the Original vampires. He’ll make his debut on The CW’s top-rated series April 21, which isn’t as far off as it may seem. After next Thursday, the next new episode doesn’t air until April 7. Though Daniel Gillies, who’s kept us entertained as Klaus’ scheming nemesis Elijah, was hoping for someone like Deadwood’s Ian McShane, Morgan’s casting is in line with what exec producers have teased all along.

Mel Gibson has had a hard time of it in recent years. His box office draw began to wane, along with other stars of his generation. Then came the bad publicity, the result of a drunken mistake. Aside from his limited success as a director, Gibson was fading from movie-going consciousness.
This year Gibson is back, with several movies in the pipeline, beginning with Edge of Darkness. Gibson stars as Thomas Craven. Craven is a homicide detective. When his daughter is shot and dies in his arms, he initially believes he is the target. It becomes clear however that someone wanted his daughter dead. Can it really be true that his little girl posed a threat to national security? He goes out in search of answers, seeking vengeance, and won’t let anyone get in his way. This leads him to the door of a large corporation, and to the...
