Lost Tales from Camp Blood Part 5 (2009)

Fifth film in the series has our survivor making his way into the woods where of course the killer is following. There also just happens to be another man and woman in the woods camping so that means more victims. This is a nice entry in the series as I think it at least gets the atmosphere back and there's no question that the woods make for a good setting. You do have to wonder how the survivor manages to get from a parking garage out to the woods or how the killer went from an axe to a machete but this is a horror film after all so it's probably not fair to ask such things. For the most part the film, running just a brief six minutes, offers up some nice kills and the atmosphere certainly makes up for the short running time. I know some fans of the Friday THE 13TH series are going to object to the title being connected to their beloved films but I think on its own this is pretty good.
