This documentary is an amazing new account(2020), of the different raids the 617 Squadron undertook during WWII.
We all know about their famous Dam-buster raid. It is a famous account/film, but I was not aware of all the other raids that they had undertook, eg the sinking of that great German ship, the Turpitz. The incredible precision flying they did as a decoy on 'D' Day, plus the bombing of a major German factory that was so big they could build & test out many submarines. Bombed & put out of action the building of a new super weapon that could easily reach London, but would also have capabilities of reaching America. Plus other raids.
No wonder they were the elite Bomber Squadron and, to think, the men that flew them were approximately 25yr olds or younger. This film has totally blown my mind.
