Spaced Out Bunny (1980) (originally part of the TV special Bugs Bunny's Bustin' Out All Over (1980)) is the third post-1960s cartoon to be featured on "Toon In with Me", following Box-Office Bunny (1990) and The Night of the Living Duck (1988) in earlier episodes. The overwhelming majority of the cartoons shown date from the 1930s-1960s "Golden Age" of American animation. "Spaced Out Bunny" is also the first non-theatrical cartoon short to be featured on the show.
Series regular Goldie Fisher does not appear in this episode.
At the time this episode was broadcast, The Impatient Patient (1942) and Dumb Patrol (1964) had not yet been released by Warner Bros. on DVD or Blu-ray, though a restored print of the former was available to watch on the HBO Max streaming service.
Toony remarks that it only took six guest stars to cure Bill of his hiccups. Making appearances are "important TV critic" duo Shaddup & Showacartoon (first seen in Bill Has a Frog in His Throat (2021)), Mr. Quizzer's brown paper bag father Pop Quizzer (recurring since Sock it to me (2021)), skinless health specialist Skinny Grossguts ("Expert on Human Ickiness", introduced in We Need Somebody (2021)), and MeTV horror host Svengoolie (of Svengoolie (1995) fame). Mr. Quizzer also makes his customary appearance, rounding out the six guests mentioned by Toony.
