Rammstein drummer Christoph Schneider has issued a statement on social media about the sexual misconduct allegations against frontman Till Lindeman, stating in part that the singer “has distanced himself from us in recent years and created his own bubble.”
The statement was posted to Schneider’s official social media accounts in his native German and opens with him stating the accusations have “shaken us as a band and me as a person.” Regarding the parties where the misconduct has been alleged to have taken place, Schneider said that he hadn’t seen or heard of “anything illegal” going on, but “things seem to have happened that, although legally ok, I personally don’t think are ok.”
Schneider continued by saying, “Certain structures have grown that went beyond the limits and values of the other band members. It is also important to us that Till’s parties are not confused with our official after-show parties.

The Center Theatre Group is pausing its season programming at its Mark Taper Forum theater and laying off 10 percent of staff across the theater company after experiencing sustained drops in ticket revenue and donations, alongside rising production costs following the pandemic.
“We are still facing a crisis unlike any other in our fifty-six-year history,” the theater organization said in a post.
The theater organization will stop season programming at the 739-seat Taper starting in July and through the 2023-2024 season. This will impact the world premiere of Fake It Until You Make It by Larissa FastHorse and directed by Michael John Garcés, which Center Theatre Group plans to move to a future season. The tour stop of Cambodian Rock Band by Lauren Yee and directed by Chay Yew, has been canceled.
A Transparent Musical, based on the Amazon Prime TV series, is currently running at the Taper through June 25.

The 2023-24 theater season at Los Angeles’ Mark Taper Forum will be halted in July due to what its operators are calling the aftereffects of the Covid pandemic, an economic “crisis unlike any other in our fifty-six-year history.”
In a statement, Center Theatre Group, which operates the Taper as well as the Ahmanson and Kirk Douglas venues, said that the pause in programming at the Taper will include the postponement of the world premiere of Fake It Until You Make It by Larissa FastHorse and the cancelation of the previously announced tour stop of Cambodian Rock Band by Lauren Yee.
“Pausing season programming at the Taper is a difficult but necessary decision that will impact artists and audiences,” the Ctg statement says, adding that the move “is particularly painful for the talented and committed Ctg staff who have dedicated so much to bringing great theatre to L.A.”

Kelly Clarkson may be one of the most personable and welcoming hosts on TV, but that didn’t stop “Daisy Jones and the Six” stars Riley Keough, Suki Waterhouse and Camila Morrone from shyly clamming up and downplaying their musical skills when speaking with the Grammy-winning singer.
“We cannot talk about singing in front of Kelly Clarkson!” Marrone said when Keough tried complimenting her voice.
The segment began with Clarkson asking Keough and Waterhouse about going to “band camp” to prepare for the 1970s-set drama series charting the rise and fall of a fictional rock band.
“We really enjoyed it, but we worked really hard,” Keough said of the training ground. “A lot of us had never done the things we were doing on this show. I had never sang, I had never played guitar. Suki hadn’t played – you hadn’t played the keys. The other band members had...

Paris-based Alief has secured international rights to Icelandic documentary “Band.”
Following its world premiere at HotDocs earlier this year, the film will now be shown in Haugesund’s New Nordic Films section, with an Icelandic premiere set for Nov. 4. Sena and Siminn handle Icelandic rights.
Directed by debuting helmer Álfrún Örnólfsdóttir, the melancholic yet humorous doc has already drawn comparisons to cult classic “Spinal Tap,” but it’s actually dedicated to her own band, The Post Performance Blues Band aka ThePPBB. Struggling to get some traction but bravely soldering on, all the while working on lyrics about “waffles and coffee” and playing in half-empty rooms in front of visibly stunned people.
“We are excited to jump on board Álfrún’s side-splitting verité musical, a true gem that effectively uses mockumentary storytelling in a believe-it-or-not, make-it-or-break-it tale of Iceland’s electro punk trio ThePPBB,” said Alief’s Miguel Angel Govea.
