- Tim Ahern: I'm surprised you're not sharing a room with Helen. It's a bit early in the relationship, is it?
- Dale Jennings: You seem totally obsessed with my personal life.
- Helen Norville: Okay. I'm gonna make a drink. Do you want one?
- Dale Jennings: Helen, we drank so much on the plane. If I drink any more, I might pass out. But sure.
- Tim Ahern: You sure you don't want to get out of those pants?
- Dale Jennings: What?
- Tim Ahern: They look hot.
- Dale Jennings: I'm fine.
- Tim Ahern: What are they? Polyester?
- Dale Jennings: They're a blend.
- Ross: [to Tim] Ooh! 'They're a blend.'
- Tim Ahern: Helen seem tense to you?
- Dale Jennings: No. I think she's just anxious to get the story.
- Tim Ahern: I heard the two of you had a good night the other night at Geoff's party.
- Dale Jennings: It's not really that fascinating, Tim.
- Tim Ahern: [laughs] Pashing a newsreader in front of everyone, I think, is fascinating. Plus, I thought you said nothing was going on.
- Dale Jennings: Well, there wasn't.
- Tim Ahern: But then things changed?
- Dale Jennings: Yeah.
- Tim Ahern: I guess that happens.
- Dale Jennings: Guess so.
- Dale Jennings: So Jean said lunch meetings usually mean firing or promotion.
- Helen Norville: Oh, it's not either of those things or they wouldn't have asked both of us.
- [after spending the night together]
- Helen Norville: So how are we gonna leave this?
- Dale Jennings: Um... I guess we go back to work like we always go to work and then next weekend we could go on a date. Start dating.
- Helen Norville: Saturday?
- Dale Jennings: Friday.
- [after Helen is rebuffed]
- Ross: How'd you go? Did you get the story? From here, it kind of looked like he slammed the door in your face.
- Lindsay Cunningham: [pointing to Noelene who is on the phone with Dale] Oi, is that Darwin?
- Lindsay Cunningham: [after taking the phone from Noelene] Helen.
- Dale Jennings: Dale, actually.
- Lindsay Cunningham: Bugger off, Dale. Put Helen on, will you?
