Hurst was the primary character of the show. Most familiar face of the talent. He had the bulk of the laughs. Typical jokes for the times. Kept us laughing. Kind of lost its audience as the episodes went by. Got repetitious. Not many guest stars kind of made it the same old thing each episode. Needed more guest stars to keep it lively. Relied on just a few of the same sets for each episode. Needed more variety, but they were in jail. As I recall, the last few episodes were setting up a spinoff. At least they almost had a full season. Wasn't surprised when it didn't return for season two. Back then you didn't know what was renewed or cancelled until the next season started showing commercials or if you subscribed to TV Guide!
