A journey inside a man's brain.
Simply put, this short film acts as a perfect social commentary for the inner dialogue of men. From the constant nodding at whatever your girlfriend says (whether you agree or even understand it!) to realization that fantasy and reality are rarely similar, this movie had me laughing from beginning to end. As comedies go, this one is succinct, topical, and exerts its ability to laugh at itself in a way that few films do these days. Considering that the film had the limitations of budget, the production values surprised me. Both roles of Mike (Vancouver's resident Chris Gautier) and Jessica (Emily Douglas, wonderfully cast) are performed to perfection. She is the quintessential every-girl, while Gautier blinks, fumbles, and acquiesces with the blank stare we men, and most women know well. Do yourselves a favour: find it on the internet, watch it, and enjoy.
