Excellent
It's a really nice documentary about an interesting man! It's political sad, funny and full of hope. It helps to dismantle some of the preconceptions around HIV and homosexuality. The pink ceiling certainly exists and I'm amazed that people have such spunk and energy to go on in the face of such oppression (culturally and arts industry wise).
The arts community is often controlled by a powerful groups with vested interests. It's hard for artists, especially in Australia to break through this almost impenetrable barrier. Even the GLBTI and drag scene in Australia is full of nepotism and control so It's amazing Vanessa has been able to succeed and educate even with these restrictions.
