I am glad Bill is back and is in great health. I definitely missed his show the last couple weeks.
That being said, wow, was he off tonight. Besides Bob Costas, who I love, the main topic was around the Israeli/Palestinian issue. This is an issue Bill clearly needs to do some more research on before having such strong opinions.
First off, I'm not sure what media he's watching, but for the most part, they've done nothing but defend Israel.
Secondly, Bill saying that it's not an apartheid state when I know people who are Palestinian, and for some reason everything is more expensive for them and harder for them because of their identity, is disgraceful. THAT is the very definition of an apartheid state, Bill! Even Geraldo over at Fox News is calling Gaza a prison camp, because IT IS!
And Israel has been breaking international law for years...encroaching on the West Bank and building settlements there against the law. THAT is one of the reasons Hamas is firing rockets. Bill, you really need to stop listening to your Hollywood friends about this issue, okay? Talk to some actual Arabs and Palestinians. Get out of your elitist bubble.
Also, I forgot the guest's name (the one with hair), brought up good points that Bill continued to interrupt and ignore. I'm sorry Bill, but killing children...I didn't think he'd have a defense for that...and he did. It was a poor one, but he tried. I get the feeling he's got some ties to Israel, some sort of stock in them.
This was a terrible episode. Ignorant, uninformed, and just plain wrong.
