Do you live in the Seattle Area, or perhaps in the greater Pacific Northwest area, looking for a road trip? This Sunday (April 18th, 2010) the Nw Film Forum in Seattle will be screening Meeting Andrei Tarkovsky, the documentary from director Dmitry Trakovsky. The film follow’s Trakovsky’s journey across the globe, as he seeks to learn all that he can from the people who once knew Andrei Tarkovsky. The documentary is an incredible work of passion and artistry, I highly recommend supporting this director.
The fine gentlemen over at the Film Talk Podcast interviewed Dmitry a while back about his documentary. You can listen to their discussion here.
To learn more about the screening, you can visit the Nw Film Forum’s page and order tickets. You can also visit the film’s official website, follow the director on Twitter, or join the group on Facebook.
