A strong film full of important 'little' moments
An odd, but effective tone poem of a film, made up of Almereyda's very well shot 'home movies' as he traveled around America and the world.
The 42 sequences that make up this 90 minute movie don't have much in common, other than that they capture little epiphanies, sometimes funny, often charming, sometimes sad moments, that make up the true substance of life, the little stuff that is our real shot at 'Paradise'. The important things we ignore as we chase the 'big'.
I could see why some might find this dull or too light for it's own good, but I found myself very wrapped up in it's tiny slices of life, and touched by its thematic ideas. It's too bad it was overlooked, and is very hard to even get to see.
