What a great serie. So much fun but also so very sad. And such a trip down memory lane. Our daughter (age 15) also enjoyed it very much, so not only for 70's and 80's people ;-)

This one grabbed me.
After the first hilarious episodes I was not ready for the truth that had been there all that time. How did I miss that?! I even wondered why Piet was the one riding the moped with Donny on the buddy seat.
I had to finish it in one go. I had to know Piet was ok.
The casting and production is spot on '80s netherlands.
I guess that "vloeken is aangeleerd" parrot poster came a bit to late for Bert. I remember that thing from the library and railway stations.
At least he had the right koelbox. Chapeau!

My wife and I watched the whole show in one go (on NPO plus) and we enjoyed every minute! Thank you for creating this master piece. I think it should be rewarded, hence this review. And I wouldn't be surprised if it wins prices here and there.
We loved the acting, the music, the references to the 80s. I'm not going to give away too much to prevent spoilers, so just watch it.

It's rather pointless to write this review in English for Dutch viewers who've lived through the 80s will appreciate this series so much more.
Maar deze serie is werkelijk een parel van een prachtverhaal die je diep kan raken. Rouw, rauw en recht uit, en naar, het hart. Briljant acteerwerk, prachtige spanningsboog. Gaat dat zien, gaat dat zien. Verschrikkelijk goed.
