The series very first guest interview was with Karl Johanson, which had the award-winning writer/game designer on the hot seat, literally, for his interview during a heat wave. The interview was taped during a record-breaking highest temperature ever in Victoria, British Columbia 44.8 °C (112 °F). With a full beard, it became so hot that noticeably Karl's face was red. Despite this, he still didn't pause for the 20-minute interview.
Aside from a single animation insert shot of Rogg falling from a cavern, originally animated for season one, but used instead in this episode, "Assimilating the Collective: 10 Best Borg Episodes" the entire episode was shot in a single day on March 25, 2022. The voiced lines for Rogg, the animated android, are always on a separate day at the studio, however with time constraints, were coupled into the same day taping in studio with Bryan Kreutz and Lili Fox-Lim. This is the only episode shot in one single day throughout the series.
The animated co-host Rogg gets demoted to co-co-host in the second episode of the series taking a back seat to the new co-host debuting.
In multiple episodes Lili and Rogg speak Klingon. There is the only one instance a Klingon word had a subtitle in English. Lili Fox-Lim's first appearance on the series during the second overall series episode she silences Rogg with a sharp "Stop, [it is] enough!" This exclamation is made of the parts mev and yap.
For the "A Very Pointed Idea - Top 10 Vulcans" episode, Co-host Lili Fox-Lim is surgically altered, fictionally, to look like a proto-Vulcan as an undercover look while at the Mintaka III duck blind holographical masked cultural observation post in the only extended directors cut episode (39 Minutes).
