Here is the trailer for the new short film titled Schizofredric. It's about "a guy whose life - and space opera novel - are going nowhere fast. Until he gets a little "trans dimensional" therapy that he orders from a strange self-help company online."
The film is from Andy Poyiadgi and won an audience favorite award at the Science Fiction and Fantasy Short Film Festival in Seattle this year. It has been showing at Us festivals as well.

Oh man, how I hope this is more than just a one-time thing.
According to their blog, the artists formerly known as The Auteurs, Mubi, will be teaming with the people at Libertas in Croatia and will be showing 13 short films from the shorts program which will play at the upcoming Libertas Film Festival.
The films featured here will run from June 25 to July 6, and will all be free for the public to see at home.
This festival joins the likes of Sundance and SXSW who have teamed up with other outlets like YouTube to bring festival releases to the public. However, not quite in this quantity. Personally, one of the coolest things about film festivals is their respective shorts programs, which are often the breeding ground for filmmakers looking to make a splash in this industry. With the name of Mubi behind it, this is definitely a must see collection of films.

Short films are (almost) always amazing and inspiring. It is much more challeging to make a short film, as filmmakers have less time to develop a story and therefore must be as minimalist and economical as possible. Here is part one of my reviews of selected shorts from this year’s festival.
Have you ever wondered who paid for the Last Supper? Or what exactly the apostles talked about after Jesus left to take his last walk as a free man? Well, director and screenwriter Jeff Chan decided to explore these pressing theological questions in the hysterical short The Apostles. After Jesus gives his final blessing and leaves, Peter gets up and takes his seat. This sets of a wave of various complaints and accusations. Did Thomas eat more than his fair share of the bread? Are John’s feelings towards Jesus more than friendly? What would Jesus do: ask...
