If someone only watches one episode of this then this is the one (unless the series finale is better!).

John Simm brings so much to his role and Horsborough sees through the layers of Ray's character.

Relationships are put on edge and the loss of a family member is well portrayed.

Brilliant writing and acting. Hopefully, the finale will be the same tip quality.

Can't wait for the next story.

Outstanding drama.

With The Confectioner in custody, a dangerous game of cat and mouse begins, Lennox has to save the life of a little girl, all the while his addictions are spiralling out of control.

Outstanding episode, this was a fabulous installment, the best yet, and that's saying something.

The quality of writing here was exceptional, yes it's incredibly well made and acted, but that's all stemming from the wonderful plot and script, it is so refreshing.

The depth of Ray's character is insane, from his addiction, to his relationship, his past, even his place within the team, Dougray Scott is amazing. What happens in that tunnel, will we get to find out I wonder?

Wow, Stuart's job, that's an interesting one, he seemed to be becoming more likeable, that hammer blow moment where he delivers Ray the bad news, that was something.

Dougray Scott has been awesome, but huge credit to John Simm, I adore him as Grace, but he really steps up when he gets to play a villain (The Master for example,) and those glasses make him all the more sinister.

This was exceptional.

10/10.
