- Rose Larkin: [continuing dialog] I thought I could read my way to Stanford.
- Peter Sutherland: Shit, you went to Stanford?
- Rose Larkin: No, those bastards rejected me.
- Rose Larkin: I went to a community college, then transferred to Berkeley.
- Rose Larkin: When I started my company I hired a bunch of Stanford grads to fetch my coffee.
- Ellen: We should have kept that baby in Wisconsin.
- Dale: The baby was a prop.
- Ellen: I know. But what if we kept her?
- Dale: You want the baby now?
- Ellen: Not that baby. Maybe we could find another baby to take.
- Dale: Why?
- Ellen: Because then we'd have a baby. Are you paying attention?
- Dale: No, I'm trying to rest. Resting.
- Ellen: When we met, you said this job was easier with a woman by your side.
- Dale: No one worries about the couple who follows them on the sidewalk.
- Ellen: That's right. With a baby, that lady just let us into her house. Think about how easy it'd be if we were a real family.
- Dale: We can't take care of a baby. Apart from it just being annoying, it wouldn't survive our life, not to mention our employers.
- Ellen: Okay.
- Dale: They would never give us another assignment if they knew we had a baby. I mean, what would you wanna do...
- Ellen: Okay! It wasn't a suggestion for right now anyway. Maybe down the road, in the future. Don't rule it out.
- Dale: Um... I'm ruling it out. It's... it's ruled out.
