- Gwen is mistaken for Morgana and kidnapped. Against Uther's wishes, Arthur heads out to fight for her freedom, with Merlin by his side to help him.
- Whilst out riding, Guinevere and Morgana are captured by the brigand Hengist's men, their escort slain. Morgana escapes but Guinevere is caught and a ransom demanded. Morgana is appalled when the heartless Uther refuses ransom. Arthur and Merlin set out to rescue her; however, Lancelot, now a travelling swordsman for money, is already at Hengist's castle, where he and Guinevere declare their love for each other. He attempts to save her but it is Arthur and Merlin - and Merlin's magic - who get them both out. Lancelot, realising that Arthur also loves Guinevere, slips away having told Merlin that Guinevere has changed him forever.—don @ minifie-1
- Riding out to visit her father's grave, Morgana is captured with Gwen by Kedrick's men to be brought to the cave lair of their sadistic master, lord Hengist of Mercia. On the way, Morgana escapes but Kendrick pretends Guinevere is her to hide his failure. To Gwen's surprise, Hengist's entertainment are duels to the death in a cage, the looser being dinner for a 'wilddeor' (giant mole), and the reigning champion is none less the Lancelot. Uther forbids a rescue for a mere servant, so Arthur sneaks out, accompanied only by Merlin. It's a long, hard journey, search, infiltration and fight, which would be pointless hadn't Lancelot done his part inside.—Anonymous
