- Blanche Morton: I think I'll wear my long pink gown with a very simple necklace, and pink gloves, and - oh, what about shoes?
- Gracie Allen: Oh, well, no matter how long your gown is, I still think you should wear them!
- Mr. Jansen: Ah, Mrs. Burns, I have something for you. I only give these to my very best customers. It's a new calendar.
- Gracie Allen: Well, thank you! Oh, you're such a reliable plumber, I'm sure your calendar will be accurate.
- Mr. Jansen: I hope so! Aren't you gonna hang it up?
- Gracie Allen: Oh no, you see, the bank already sent me one for next year so I'll save this one for the year after that.
- Mr. Jansen: You having trouble with your pipes again?
- Gracie Allen: Yes, the water won't go down the sink.
- Mr. Jansen: Oh, then it must be your drain. Well, that's Beverly Hills for ya. Above the ground it's a lovely community... but below the ground it's no better than anyplace else.
- Gracie Allen: That is true. And vice-versa.
- George Burns: Gracie has got a little system, first she does something and then she figures out how she's gonna do it. And to make it just a little more interesting, she never figures out how she's gonna do it until she does it. Now that kind of figuring might be a little confusing to you, but I've been married to Gracie for a lot of years and I know why you're confused. Because so am I.
- Mrs. Winthrop: You're laughing at something this Blanche Morton said?
- Gracie Allen: [laughing] No, no, it's something she's gonna say at your party.
- [laughing]
- Mrs. Winthrop: I beg your pardon?
- Gracie Allen: Oh, if I laugh now, I'll be able to hear every word she says when she says it, and I certainly don't want to miss any of it.
- Gracie Allen, George Burns: [talking about Ronnie] In his weakened condition, he doesn't know what he's doing.
- George Burns: Well, he doesn't seem to have any symptoms.
- Gracie Allen: Symptoms?
- George Burns: Yeah.
- Gracie Allen: Oh, well, he -- he got sick so fast he didn't have time to get them.
- George Burns: No symptoms?
- Gracie Allen: No, he went straight to the disease.
