On Breakfast Club, Pardi said of a line her song “Cobra,” “Y’all know me, y’all know me for a long time. I’ve never been a bad person. Never been painted in any type of way, never in the media at all. One, it hurt me personally, and two, it tarnished my image. It tarnished who I was as a person.”

Warning: contains Inside No. 9 series 1-8 spoilers.
Nearly every episode of Inside No. 9 features one or both of its writers, Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith, and both have put in some truly great performances over the course of the show’s almost 50 episodes. Pemberton won a Bafta for his performance as an alcoholic ex-comedian down on his luck in series four’s ‘Bernie Clifton’s Dressing Room,’ though that was far from his only standout half-hour. His frazzled everyman drawn to the brink in call-centre mystery ‘Cold Comfort’, arrogant fantasy screenwriter in ‘Simon Says’ and regretful physicist in ‘A Random Act of Kindness’ all show how much more there is to the actor than comedy Psychoville grotesque David Sowerbutts.
The same goes for Shearsmith, who’s given several poignant and complex performances alongside his heightened ‘Wuthering Heist’ and ‘Lip Service’ clowning. His hapless primary teacher in ‘Mr. King...

You know what they say: If you’ve got it, monetize it! And what does Nick Cannon have? An inability to stop having children.
On Tuesday, Cannon announced plans for a new game show, Who’s Having My Baby With Nick Cannon, hosted by Kevin Hart and set to air this spring on E!. Billed as the “mother of all games shows” (we see what you did there), Cannon will pick from a slate of female contestants who want to — you guessed it — have his next baby.

You might not know who Cautious Clay is, but you’ve most likely heard his music. He’s behind the perky beat that drives Taylor Swift’s “London Boy”, the multimillion-streamed tribute to her boyfriend Joe Alwyn’s hometown, and the remix of “Ocean Eyes” – Billie Eilish’s breakthrough single – which was commissioned by her brother and co-writer, Finneas. There’s a good chance you’ve heard him in films or on TV, too. His 2018 debut “Cold War”, which melded a Frank Ocean level of introspection with gospel harmonies and slick pop production, cropped up in the soundtracks for both Olivia Wilde’s Booksmart and Issa Rae’s acclaimed comedy-drama, Insecure. The lyrics are astute, the arrangements complex: his songs are gorgeous reflections on his own shortcomings.

Nick Cannon and Brittany Bell have welcomed another baby into their ever-growing family. In a Sept. 30 Instagram post, Cannon announced the birth of the pair's third child together, a boy named Rise Messiah Cannon.
"Another Blessing!!! As my journey on this planet becomes more and more remarkable and unfathomable, all I can do is thank God and continue to ask the Most High to order my steps. He has given me stewardship and dominion over a family dynamic that to some is unimaginable. But more importantly he has blessed me with loving individuals to guide me with care through this purposeful life," Cannon wrote alongside a video compilation of memories from Bell's baby shower, going on to praise her for her how much she's taught him about "parenting, psychology, spirituality, love and just life in general."
He continued, "As you can see in the video, a bunch of powerful prayer...

Nick Cannon surprised his fans by announcing his ninth child – a first with a new baby mama, Lanisha Cole.
Unlike some of his other baby mothers, the Masked Singer host did not reveal Cole, 40, was pregnant with his child before she gave birth.
The 41-year-old appears to have had at least three women pregnant at the same time this year.
In July, he welcomed his first child with realtor Bre Tiesi and is reportedly expecting his 10th child with Abby De La Rosa in October and 11th with Brittany Bell.
It was just last year when Cannon pledged to be celibate after his therapist advised him to “chill out,” but admitted he didn’t make it to 2022 during an appearance on the podcast Lip Service with Angela Yee.

Warning: this Inside No. 9 review contains spoilers.
Having met his servants in ‘The Trial of Elizabeth Gadge’ and ‘The Harrowing’, it was only a matter of time before Old Scratch turned up on Inside No. 9. This series has always had one cloven hoof dipped in the fantasy-horror genre, so it’s ripe for a visit from the devil himself.
‘How Do You Plead?’ was a choice vehicle, both for the character, and for Sir Derek Jacobi, whose guest performance was perhaps the best this show has had.. Here, Jacobi played Mr Webster, a dying barrister whose term was about to expire on the Faustian contract he’d signed in 1972. Reece Shearsmith played his kindly nurse with the unusual name of Urban Bedford, whose soul Webster attempted to sacrifice in his stead.

Right at the start, Bev told us she was celebrating a birthday. The significance of that indefinite article passed us by until she protested in the final minutes, “I never said it were my birthday.” Bev was celebrating on behalf of Ryan, the baby she’d snatched from his pram two decades ago as a disturbed 10-year-old, and killed, concealing his skeleton inside a child’s doll.
‘Hurry Up and Wait’ is an uncomfortable half-hour with a macabre conclusion, as befits the creators and director of Psychoville (which in Dawn French’s Joy, also featured a grown woman with a sinister attachment to a baby doll, that one following the death of her own son – the dead baby being the sine qua non of subversive comedy.) The episode is an emotionally cold grotesquerie driven by social awkwardness, cringe comedy, and light satire on the acting world.

What a sad tale! Four sad tales, if we’re counting – a melancholic pass-the-parcel that tore off layers of wrapping and changed shape at regular intervals. ‘Lip Service’ started out as a domestic drama that turned dark, briefly became a romance, and ended unexpectedly as a conspiracy thriller. Four stories, three twists, as many genres, 30 minutes, no waiting. Where else on TV does an audience get this much bang for their buck?
Until its final moments, ‘Lip Service’ ran at a different speed to this series’ previous two episodes. While they were crammed with busy dialogue and heightened drama, this started with silence and space. Felix Hughes (Steve Pemberton) checked into the grotty three-star Medway Hotel, placed a pair of binoculars on the bed, and cry-screamed into a pillow. A poignant piano score accompanied his turmoil as we took in his grimy,...

The R&b singer Tank is known for his vocal acrobatics and statue-like physique, not for courting controversy. But last week, he was plunged into an unexpected internet shit-storm.
It all started on Lip Service, an interview show run by New York radio luminary Angela Yee that features hour-long conversations with singers and rappers about their sex lives. Tank released a new album on Friday, titled Elevation. He’s a practiced interviewee, with a sonorous voice and plenty of self-deprecating quips, so he visited Lip Service as part of his promotional run.

Easily one of his generation’s most gifted character actors, with a hangdog face unforgettable from such films as “Fargo” and “Boogie Nights,” William H. Macy made his feature directing debut some 30 years ago with a savvy TV-news parody called “Lip Service” for HBO. For some reason, it wasn’t until starring in (and eventually directing an episode of) Showtime’s “Shameless” that he picked up the habit again in earnest. The question, now that Macy appears to be stepping behind the camera with some regularity, is what it is about these curious projects that compels him.
Take “Krystal,” a uniquely bizarre, uncomfortably sexist “Pretty Woman”-meets-“Pretty in Pink” hybrid that comes across as if Tennessee Williams had been commissioned to write a John Hughes-style wish-fulfillment fantasy. Though Macy is an odd fit to direct (coming at the talky script like it was a madcap piece of theater), the...

From BAFTA-nominated writer Adrian Hodges (My Week with Marilyn) comes an exciting and modern interpretation of Peter Pan; one of the best-loved children’s novels of all time. Starring Golden Globe and Emmy-winning actor Stanley Tucci (The Hunger Games, The Devil Wears Prada) as both Captain Hook and Mr Darling, Laura Fraser (Lip Service, Breaking Bad) as Julie and Mrs Darling, and the mesmerising Paloma Faith (Youth) as Tinkerbell, Peter & Wendy mixes fantasy with reality in a narrative based around Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The day before her scheduled heart surgery twelve-year-old Lucy Rose (Hazel Doupe) reads aloud to similarly sick children the original novel of Peter Pan by J.M.Barrie. That night she retires to bed with the images and words of what she has just read still in her head. As she falls asleep her dreams turn in to reality as the classic tale is intertwined with her modern day struggles.

Troy: Fall Of A City is a new ‘visceral multi-part series’ from Spooks and Humans' behind-the-scenes talent...
The sacking of the city Troy – and the Ancient Greek conflict, the Trojan War, that preceded it - has been adapted for the screen before. Most recently, it was the focus of the 2004 Brad Pitt movie Troy.
BBC One has now ordered a new, televised take on this epic ten-year siege, under the name Troy: Fall Of A City. It’s been described as a “visceral multi-part series,” and has been created by Spooks and Hanna writer David Farr.
Kudos, the production company behind Broadchurch and Humans, are involved as well. Humans, The Hour and Lip Service executive producer Derek Wax will executive produce alongside David Farr.
Here’s a synopsis:
“The story of the war between Greece and Troy is an epic tale of love, revenge, intrigue and bloodshed.

Charlie Lyne's documentary Beyond Clueless harks back to the classic teen movies that shaped the '90s.
Featuring narration from The Craft's Fairuza Balk (and with clips of Robin Tunney, Devon Sawa and co), it made us feel a sudden pang of nostalgia and sent us on our own trip down memory lane to find out where they - and the rest of the '90s teen movie crew - are now.
So, here are 11 stars from some of our favourite '90s teen movies, and what they've gone on to do since:
1. Devon Sawa - Idle Hands (1999)
Dreamy Devon Sawa starred as lazy stoner Anton Tobias - who turns mass murderer after his hand becomes possessed - in the horror comedy Idle Hands.
He went on to play teenage prophet of doom Alex Browning in Final Destination (2000), and appeared as similarly unstable Stan in Eminem's controversial music...

It’s safe to say horror westerns don’t have the best track record. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a good amount of decent examples out there such as Grim Prarie Tales, Ravenous, Dead Birds and The Burrowers. But there’s also a Lot of bad horror westerns, two of which – Gallowalkers and Umbrage – debuted at Frightfest’s of the past. Given that, it was with a sense of trepidation that I approached Blood Moon…
Set in Colorado in 1887, Blood Moon sees a stagecoach full of strange passengers and an enigmatic gunslinger Calhoun (Dooley) find themselves prisoners of two desperate outlaws on the run. As the prairie travellers attempt to outwit the outlaws in any way they can it soon...

In a recent AfterEllen huddle, we were asked what we would change about television if we could, and I answered that I would give a woman a shot at the titular role of Doctor Who. Well, clearly Matt Smith reads this website because barely a month later he announced his departure from the show, following the upcoming Christmas special. This is kind of sad news, given that the Internet has only just stopped referring to Smith as "the new Doctor," but since the franchise will carry on, so must we. And now that a change in lineup is set to occur, it's time to weigh in on who we'd like to wield the sonic screwdriver.

Since its inception, 11 actors have helmed the Tardis. They have been young and old, serious and whimsical, but they have all had a couple of things in common.

My favorite writing teacher once told me that if writers fail to listen to the desperate whispered desires of their characters, the fictional worlds they inhabit will collapse around their ears. It's a really pretty way to say characters have to be allowed to act out if their stories are going to be believable. Sometimes acting out just means mouthing off. Sometimes it means shouting and stomping around. And sometimes it means scissoring with a lady who is not the lady you promised to scissor with exclusively.
Straight characters who are in committed relationships cheat all the time across all forms of media and it's usually nothing by a cliched snoozefest, but committed lesbian couples are so sparse that when one of our beloved gay characters cheats and another one of our beloved gay characters, we find ourselves shouting at our TVs and movies and books.

Jenna Jameson won't be charged with battery. The former adult movie star was arrested on April 6 after allegedly using her 'brass knuckle' iPhone case to attack personal assistant Britney Markham at a salon on Newport Beach, but law enforcement officers told website TMZ that she won't face charges as the Orange County District Attorney's Office have decided there isn't enough evidence to convict. However, the case could still have repercussions for Jenna - who has starred in such films as 'Lip Service', 'Priceless' and 'Wicked Weapon' - as Britney has applied for a restraining order against her. She is also expected to follow up with a civil suit against her alleged attacker. Jenna - who was arrested hours before...

Lesbian sex. It's a phrase so fraught with tawdry confusion that Google won't even autocomplete it. (Instead, they'll give you a choice between "lesbian seagull" and "lesbian senator.") And corporate firewalls block websites that talk about it because they assume you're trying to watch porn at work. It's both bewildering and infuriating. We live in a culture so saturated with sex that the best way to sell a burrito is to simulate a hot chick giving it a blow job in an animated advertising Gif. But "lesbian sex" makes the internet go haywire.
And even though we've come a long way in terms of gay lady visibility on TV, lesbian sex seems also to bamboozle writers and directors. Most TV shows with lesbian characters subscribe to the idea that lesbians either get off by fully-clothed cuddling, or that whatever...

Good morning!
Looks like Lifetime has un-canceled Drop Dead Diva, so if you're a fan of that very queer show, rejoice.
Supposedly Rosie O'Donnell is working on a lesbian parenting book and she asked Jodie Foster to contribute but she was turned down. I really just want to know who Jodie is with in that photo.
Bitch magazine has a list of the best lines from a 1968 book about bisexuality. Very interesting.
Out hip-hop duo Kin 4 Life has a sexy new video for their song "Take Your Clothes Off."

Actress/musician Heather Peace has released the new video for her single "Fight For," which is a new remix of the song fans will recognize from her album Fairytales. The video stars some famous faces including Scottish TV presenter Lorraine Kelly, British newscaster Alice Arnold, actress Zoe Lucker and Lip Service's Roxanne McKee among others who hold signs showing what they fight for.
"I love that songs can mean lots of different things to different people and I wanted to embrace that in the video," Heather said. "I asked my fans and my friends to send me one word or a sentence that outlined the things they think are worth fighting for today. We got a huge response back of really mixed ideas; from the window seat on an airplane, to ending animal cruelty, to three day working weeks. A lot of people would fight for cheese.
