The "old but mighty" computer is two stacked Silicon Graphics Indigo 2 computers and a Galileo video board from around 1995. Silicon Graphics was famous for its high performance graphics computers, featured more prominently in the first "Jurassic Park" movie.
The song Jade recites at the bar, "Sacris Solemniis Iuncta sint guadia Et ex praecordiis Sonnet praeconia Recedant vetera Nova sint omnia Corda Voces et opera". It translates to "AT this our solemn feast, let holy joys abound, and from the inmost breast, let songs of praise resound; let ancient rites depart, and all be new around, in every act, and voice, and heart." This is one of the five hymns St. Thomas Aquinas composed in honor of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament at specific request of Pope Urban IV when the Pope first established the Feast of Corpus Christi in 1264. Today Sacris Solemniis is used as a hymn for the Office of the Readings for Corpus Christi.
The computer that Nick connects to issues a sound of an old modem connecting to another computer (point-to-point) using the telephone system. This indicates that they are attempting to stay off the grid by using older technology that does not use the internet, which could be tracked.
Gabriele tells to Jude on phone, "Fiat voluntas Dei", that is Latin for "May God's will be done".
Some scenes were filmed at Bonnie's Illinois Billiards Club in Willow Springs, IL. The restaurant and billiard club was closed for a week while various scenes were filmed. The marquee in front said the establishment was closed while the "T.V. Series Lightyears" was being filmed. That was the preproduction title for Night Sky before release.
