Plot Summary |
In 1945, "cigarette camps" were set up in Normandy to provide rest and recreation for American soldiers back from the front. They were hastily transformed into transit camps for the French wives of some of these soldiers, helping them with their administrative tasks and teaching them how to become perfect American wives. |
