- When Homer forgets to buy Marge a birthday present, he contacts Balenciaga begging for help in supplying an extravagant gift which leads to all the inhabitants of Springfield being flown to Paris to take part in modeling at Fashion week.
- In snowy Springfield on New Year's Day, a piano plays a slow tune and inside the Simpson house, Homer marks Marges birthday on the calendar and claims to have plenty of time, but a montage of the seasons changing and Homer continuously drinking beers shows that the time has passed. Homer walks into the house to see Marges birthday on the calendar, so he sneakily takes the magazine Marge is holding in her hand and sees Balenciaga advertised. Homer knows Marge is a big fan of of their clothing line and sends them an email asking for a cheap piece of clothing for her. They pack a dress and the tag and deliver it to 742 Evergreen Terrace and ring the bell. Marge answers the door, sees the package and puts on the dress. Homer loves seeing Marge happy, until he sees it costs $19,000. Marge knows she has to return the dress, but just wants to wear it once and Homer tries to protect it. Marge returns the dress with a note and the Balenciaga lands a plane in Springfield and tell the townspeople that they have been invited to Paris to model for them, in an attempt to save them. A montage of getting ready for the show follows and Homer eats snails noisily just as the show begins. Chief Wiggum and Moe walk the catwalk, before it is Bart's turn and he reveals his butt at the audience, before they say they aren't offended and reveal their rears too. Patty and Selma walk the runway and as Julio and Agnes Skinner walk the runway, Lisa questions walking the runway, but does it "for research". Lisa and Maggie wear the same dress. One of the people backstage tell Smithers he can choose his own outfit and after tossing up decisions, comes out in a red dress. Sherri and Terri walk in puffy black dresses, before it cuts to Homer backstage, eating Fries and he is hurried on stage in dark shade sunglasses and a red jacket. Homer and Comic Book guy struggle to get past each other and they both fall over the edge. Using a translator, Homer tells everyone that they are going to love the next model and Marge walks on in a shiny golden dress and the audience chant her name and the owner says if there is anything else Paris can do for her to let him know and Marge asks if Homer could kiss her properly. The film ends on a river cruise and Homer starts singing to Marge in French, before some cigarette ash burns Homers jacket and the owner of Balenciaga puts it out with expensive champagne and Homer continues singing.
