Below Expectation
aaaqob30 October 2022
The movie below the expectations for a famous director ( Sherif Arafa ) and actor ( Ahmed Ezz ). But Maged El-Kidwani was extraordinary and I think that he is the one that supported the movie.

The actress ( Menna Shalabi ) was very poor in her role, in general she is a weak actress and mainly depending on her name.

The script and story are very poor.

Great decoration and old cars.

The make up for the old age persons for Maged El-Kidwani and the doctor was very poor and not professional at all, may be for Ahmed Ezz it was medium.

I will advise to see it just to enjoy the whole story not the acting or script.

Mainly dealing with the action from psychological point.

Unbalanced Pacing and Shallow Plotting: Assessing 'The Crime'
sanadalsalt10 June 2023
While "The Crime" offers an intriguing premise and explores the psychological aspects of its characters, it falls short in executing a compelling narrative. The film's pacing is uneven, with slow moments that hinder the overall flow of the story. Additionally, the plot lacks depth and fails to engage the audience fully.

The performances in the film are generally satisfactory, with the actors portraying their characters adequately. However, there is a missed opportunity to delve deeper into their emotional journeys and provide a stronger connection between the audience and the characters.

One aspect that stands out in "The Crime" is the authentic depiction of the 1970s setting in Egypt. The film successfully captures the atmosphere and aesthetics of that era, adding a layer of realism to the story.

Furthermore, the cinematography and production design are commendable, contributing to the film's visual appeal. The use of lighting and set designs effectively enhances the mood and tone of the scenes.

However, despite these positive elements, "The Crime" fails to leave a lasting impact. The plot lacks sufficient twists and turns to keep the viewers engaged, and the resolution of the mystery feels somewhat predictable and unsatisfying.

In conclusion, "The Crime" possesses potential with its interesting premise, authentic setting, and decent performances. However, its execution falls short in terms of pacing, narrative depth, and overall impact. While it may appeal to viewers interested in psychological dramas set in historical contexts, it may not captivate a wider audience.

The real crime is the making of this movie.

Warning: Spoilers
Despite all my high expectations before watching the movie. (A movie directed by Sherif Arafa) I was so disappointed after watching the crime.

Majid Al-Kidwani is the only good thing in the movie and the actor who did the role of( Abdulaziz ) is hilarious

The main problem is the weak script.

Why did Adel marry Nadia despite his grandfather's advice not to repeat his father mistake ?

Why didn't he let Nadia drown ?

Why did he see her ghost though knowing she still alive ?

Why did he kill her parents ?

Why didn't we know about Adel's drug trade early ?

Don't waste your time
dina-aldesouky11 October 2022
A strong cast with a strong director was supposed to be more worthy. Decided to watch this movie after so many positive reviews on other platforms after it was released on theatres. Had so much hope for something different but I wasted 2 hours of my time on this! What kind of story was that? No plot, bad acting except for Maged El Kedwany and funny direction. The only good thing was the overall setting of that period of time. So disappointing for such cast to have such a movie with a good director like Sherif Arafa. Not recommended at all, don't waste your time and watch something else 😑 glad didn't have to pay to watch it on theaters.
