Very slow moving.

Lana is grief stricken, but desperate to get back to work, a suspect is identified, and she's keen to get him.

They are trying so hard to replicate Line of Duty, we have the dramatic music, the twists, but for some reason with this show, nothing is landing, it's just such a lifeless watch.

Part five, and I'm just bored with it, I had a break from it last night to see if that made a difference, it didn't, I wish I could put my finger on it, but it's just not coming to life.

John is looking wonderfully sinister in almost every single scene. He's incredibly unpleasant, not sure you'd want to work with him.

Vicky McClure is great once again, and I'll give a few extra points because of the presence of Pippa Haywood, their scenes together were the best thing about this episode.

They need to do something special in the series finale.

For such an exciting sounding episode, this was a very boring watch, not necessarily bad, just dull, 5/10.

Warning: Spoilers
Lana is a bomb disposal expert who has failed to defuse several bombs in this series so far. She has lost her work partner and her brother to bomb explosions.

Yet she is still on active duty and not put on compassionate leave.

She continues to have a role in an investigation where she has suffered a personal loss. She even lied to an enquiry as she would have to let her superior know that she has cheated on him.

Here is an example of how bad the writing is. When attending another bomb device to deal with. Lana wants to have John Hudson with her. He reacts by mocking her. This is a woman who has lost her work partner and her brother was just blown up. No one thinks that this is inappropriate behaviour from him.

While trying to defuse the bomb. John who just mocked her, now gives her his condolences over her brothers' death. Something he would had done in the immediate aftermath not some time later.

Of course John was a suspect as a potential inside bomber. In this episode he sets off a bomb and scarpers from the scene. In the previous episode, John was under surveillance by the police. It seems they never spotted anything wrong at all. Who set up all the gas pipes as John would had been followed.

Bland Karl is still about and Lana must be the only person in the world who finds him interesting.

Trigger Point has been a disappointment. It is poor writing devoid of any decent characters and only some contrived tension makes it partly watchable so far.
