Terrific babes in fairly lame gangster satire
lor_2 February 2016
I give a high score to "Pubic Enemy" based on the femme performances, but Stuart Canterbury's spoof of '30s gangster films is poor storyline porn. It's another lamentable case giving fuel to the gonzo crowd that votes "All- Sex" on those distributor feedback postcards, rejecting XXX with a story.

No script credit is no surprise, as this story of John Dillinger (Tommy Gunn is named "Drillinger") and pals goes nowhere and made me long for another look at Warren Oates in that '70s drive-in classic by John Milius. The episodes knit together, but ultimately emerge as sex vignettes with overacted posturing added.

Roxanne Hall retains her British accent for opening segment humping Scott Styles in the prison cell next to Gunn, followed by his escape with Styles. Following scene is a pleasant bondage interlude as our gang of bank robbers tie up Monique Alexander to Jazy Berlin, cuing lesbian sex when they free themselves after some fetish squirming in their bonds.

Danny Mountain's acting is poor as a G-man working for Mr. Groover (Dirty Harry in a dumb non-sex role, even cross-dressing a la J. Edgar), assigned to nab the gang. Johnny Castle as Baby Face (he isn't given a satirical last name) gets some out-door sex with lovely Bella Cole, before attempted slapstick comedy of Cole running away across the fields butt-naked after the feds show up and have a chintzy, poorly staged gun battle.

Mountain goes to question informant Audrey Bittoni, cast as a whore and the reason I liked this video. Her lengthy sex scene servicing Mountain is terrifically arousing, as she demonstrates fab deep-throat technique on his big dick and bounces around in woman-on-top action. After his money shot, he asks her if she has a red dress, setting up the film's famous climax.

For a $5,000 reward Audrey's finked on Gunn's moll Polly played by Brynn Tyler who has the final sex scene with Tommy. When they emerge from the movie theater, Canterbury ends the feature abruptly with the sound of gunfire felling the famous gangster.

Old timey '30s music accompanies the sex scenes and the costumes and styling are suitably period. Fact that all six actresses in the cast have shaved vaginas is a casting error, as "hair down there" porn actresses definitely existed back in 2010 when this was shot -best example being Annie Body.

Credits include Kimberly Kane and Alec Gonz with "Speakeasy" attached to their name on the list, but the bonus archive scene here (typical of Penthouse, used to promote the other video) excerpted from Canterbury's "Speakeasy" feature stars Marcus London and Nyomi Marcela instead. Even if the credits were correct they do not follow protocol for these releases, where the archive footage is properly not mentioned in the main feature's credit crawl.
