'GI SAYS' is the incredible true story about the only known underground antiwar publication to be produced by an active duty soldier in a combat zone in Vietnam during the war. Veteran Kenneth Anderberg relates his experience serving on the front lines in the Ashau Valley, then later serving at Camp Evans near the DMZ during the conflict. It was at Camp Evans that he created and published the underground magazine - or 'zine' - 'GI Says' as a response, in part, to the controversial leadership of Col, Weldon Honeycutt at the recently concluded operations at Hill 937, aka 'Hamburger Hill. A $10,000 bounty was reported in the zine, with the target being none other than Col. Honeycutt himself. Discovery of the printed bounty in 'GI Says' by military police nearly led to Anderberg's long term imprisonment in a federal penitentiary - if not for a miraculous and lucky intervention.
