Contract Player is a short film lifted and loosely based on a feature film in development that is written and produced by Janaé Rachel Ballot. During production, Janaé Rachel Ballot took from personal experiences and morphed them into universal themes of deception, manipulation, and false hope for audiences to relate and sympathize with the main characters in a world of 1950's Hollywood where stars were treated as property to exploit for financial and personal gain by the studio heads.
