Amelie begins an affair with Pierce but Fran, his ex, is obsessed with getting him back and will do whatever it takes including eliminating the competition. This trope has been done hundreds of times before by Lifetime. Nothing original. It was OK and worth one watch.

Not a bad way to spend 90 minutes

Isn't going to win any awards and should be rated in that context. Seen a lot worse. The lead actress is very easy on the eye, hopefully some more roles for her in the future. Was waiting for a plot twist, but there wasn't one.
Boring

Dull Hallmark Type Thriller Without Thrills

Enough to keep you to the end and then you hate yourself for it. Love scenes with horrible music that can't end soon enough. Too many times you just say to yourself "now why would you do that?". Acting not bad but the script is very corny and not plausible.
Boring Cheap Rip-Off To Fatal Attraction
cynet-5233216 August 2022
Ok this film is so bland it would make staring at a white wall for ten hours exciting.
The two main exercise characters are no most boring match up in TV movie history.
One scene they spend nearly ten minutes of exercise work outs and oh my I was falling into a coma.
The sexual scenes were so naff and unconvincing it was laughable.
The acting was Ok by the British actor but the mean leading lady had zero charisma of character.
The thing that cheered me up the leading actress had a bigger nose than me so found that amusing.
Basically the movie is a cheap rip off from fatal attraction and not worth your time.
1 out of 10 due to the fact the movie just lacks characters you couldn't care about. If they all got murdered I still couldn't care less.

Warning: Spoilers
A strangely slickly made movie which looks okay but lacks content. When a devastatingly fit Pilates teacher falls in love with her hot student, he fails to tell her he has an attendant stalker in tow.
In fact, communication between the main actors leaves us confused. They seem to speak in clichés throughout which makes it hard for us to understand the actual relationship between them.
There's a lot of dry humping, oh and a wet bit in a swimming pool.
The stalker, who appears to be a Valley Girl, terrorises the attractive Pilates teacher with pens.
Her obsession with hot rich guy drives her to murder someone who looks a bit like him. This is hard for us to assess, as it would be usual to murder the object of your obsession,on the whole.
"He even smelled like you! " she screams. Must have had short legs too, then.
Anyway if you want a right laugh, it's okay for that, but bear in mind the laughs are in the actors. Rich hot guy actor is struggling with the gormless plot, but methinks he cannot act anyway.
I have never seen a film that lingers on the lead actresses thrusting lycra crotch as she demonstrates that Pilates Bridge thing. It's all very unprofessional as she does admit.
I actually started to sympathise with the stalker because she was the only one doing any acting: even if it was drowning size 0 Pilates girl in the sea or bashing her. Or the whole ballpoint pen leitmotif.
I really wanted Pilates girl to find new strength and fight back, but truly, she was a drip in tanga briefs.
There is a really weird bit at the end where Hot Rich Guy is being ogled by a cougar type lady.
"Don't bother change your t shirt!" she winsomely calls out to him.
He replies "I had to, the other one smells."

Pilates is Good Exercise, Fun, and Exciting!!!

Warning: Spoilers
Amélie Didot has just moved from Montreal to Florida, where she has opened a new Pilates center. There is instant chemistry between Amélie and Pierce Dalton, the "hunk" who is taking one of her classes. In their first private lesson, it becomes clear that Pilates is not only good exercise, but it is also fun and exciting!!!
"A Dangerous Affair" (a.k.a., "Her Obsession") is structured as a Harlequin romance. Whenever Amélie and Pierce are alone, the sparks begin to fly. The only problem is that Pierce has some baggage in the form of an ex-girlfriend who is also a stalker.
It soon becomes apparent that Amélie has a target on her back due to the resourceful Fran Gibbons. Amélie is not only harassed but hospitalized with four stitches and a concussion courtesy of Fran.
The action became predictable and even turned into a near farcical romp towards the end. From Pilates, we move to wrestling in the seaweed on the beach. Still, there was some excellent film footage from Florida and many chic interior settings. There were also good supporting roles in the neighbor Margaret, the heiress Barbara, and Buster the dog.
The strength of the film was the performance of Aubree Bouché in the role of Amélie. Everyone will look forward to Aubree appearing in more Lifetime films.

Much different and very sexy

This movie was a nice break from the usual thrillers that Lifetime does. Felt like one of the erotic thriller of the 80's. I found that many men on here didn't like it because the film has strong female lead. Great writing and sexy scenes were off the charts. I really like this director as I watched something from her a while ago. It really felt like a film by woman and for woman ,whereas so many other thrillers I watch. Are campy and unbelievable. The two leading characters had wonderful chemistry, and the entire cast proved to be strong actors. Again, not always the case. If you want to watch some that feels like the older 80's sext movies, I'd tune in.
