Harry Watson continues on in the surrealistic and dangerous role of Musty Suffer, not this time being operated on with band saws or bathing in beer, but acting as a golf caddy and then undergoing free treatment for hookworm, complete with beatings with Indian Clubs to kill the little parasites.
These Kleine comedies -- originally he was the 'K' in Kalem -- are almost Italian in their bone-shattering slapstick and surreal in the grungy world that the equally grungy Suffer lives in, expecting the worst and always being surprised at his premature optimism. Definitely not to the taste of the polite set, they are very funny.
