Let's say we're married
mitchrmp10 August 2016
Warning: Spoilers
So in this episode, Booth and Brennan have to travel back to her old high school so they can solve a murder. In order to find out who did it, Booth thinks they should go undercover - as husband and wife!

This is significant since it's done right after the episode where they finally admit to their feelings. They talk about how difficult this case could be with what had just happened. Booth's feelings for Brennan are so strong that he doesn't think he can even dance with her...and he states that "we both agreed not to..." That's untrue - Booth wanted it, but Brennan rejected him!

I found it interesting that they used terms of endearment during this episode when all the years they've been together, I don't recall once that they used one single term of endearment on the other - I always find that rather odd...

Then there's the whole Angela/Wendell/Jack thing. I like all three of these people, but personally there's only one couple here. We know who that is, and thankfully we won't have to wait much longer for that to happen! One of my favorite scenes is when Jack spills the beans and runs to Angela to apologize in advance...

Reunion
Hitchcoc8 February 2023
When Brennan goes to her her high school reunion we know what's coming. There is a dead body. So the reunion becomes the setting for discovering who the murderer is. Booth tries to work his way into things. Bones is surprised how no one liked in high school; any of fifty people could have told her. I loved that she was referred to as Morticia (the slinky woman from the Addams family), because of her fixation on dead things. Her favorite person in high school was the janitor, played by Robert England who is best known as Freddie Kreuger in "A Nightmare on Elm Street." There are some precious scenes with Brennan and Booth dancing. It is so loving as is the final scene with all the friends in the bar.

Core Bones Episode to watch
ltexprs16 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Hello The Bones Booth Podcast,

First review here so I apologize if it's really long.

So the scene where we are introduced to the local cop has me cringing when she tells Booth that he's got a great face and bod (sexual harassment?). Love that this murder just so happens to occur the week of Bones 15 year high school reunion, like what are the odds right? But hey at least we get to see B&B go semi-Undercover this episode. Also not a fan of the urban legend trope that had absolutely nothing to do with the plot except give us a creepy serial killer cannibal (I think we can all agree Gormogon was enough for us).

We get Wendell as our Intern for the week, so glad we can finally move towards the end of his relationship with Angela. Hodgins very easily let's slip about him going through a baby scare again. I get that it might not have been an explicit secret. But either tell Wendall right away, or tell the people that knew about it not to loop Wendell in.

Love how we are getting more of Bones backstory (that doesn't relate to her father) but I get extreme serial killer vibes when they talk about her dissecting dead animals. But I love how Cam says after "show & tell" that's she's running a daycare. And we get the horny cop again, like please stop trying to seduce Booth. But what really bothers me is that she is pretty attractive yet she can't find a single man in the area to satisfy her needs?

I'm very disappointed in how Angela and Wendell break up. They could have had any other story like cheating or lying that would have made it more realistic for them to break up, but glad that relationship is over with. And we get a different single horny women trying to "seduce" Booth. Have they never heard of going to a bar or online dating? And I guess Ray Buxley only owns the work uniform and wear that and a Bolo Tie to the reunion (giving me serious Charlie vibes). I absolutely love when B&B start slowing dancing to Seal, and at how close they get by the end of it, definitely the song of the episode.

Then we get to the Brad Pact as I'll be referring to it as. I guess all the women in this town are so desperate that a couple of them literally made a pact to share Brad (who's apparently the only attractive guy in this town). And we end the episode with the group & Wendell reminiscing on High school and having a good time out, which I love.

Overall a great episode and a must rewatch for anyone going through the hits.

The One Where Bones Goes Back To High School...
taylorkingston6 October 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I love this episode. We get to see where Bones came from, which is very good, for me, anyway.

In this episode, we see Booth and Bones go back to Bones's old high school. It's her reunion, so you know what that means. Murder! I mean, party! But, unlucky for Bones, there was a murder. So she has to spend her high school reunion trying to find out who killed this girl. She goes back and sees her only friend, the janitor. Where someone makes a very funny joke. "He looks like Freddy Krueger". Funny things, he was Freddy Krueger. The man who plays the janitor was that famous role all the way back in the eighties. They make many references, including his hat, sweater and tools he uses. They had to do it. Honestly, it's my favorite part of the episode.

Overall, I give this episode a 10 out of 10.

Really enjoyed this episode! So fun to go bsck to Brennan's high school, and the whole slasher flick angle. Robert Englund as the janitor was everything!!! So perfect!!!

Blissful boogie.

Warning: Spoilers
Hi, Bones Booth podcast. English Jan here.

Just a short review from me this time.

The clearly separate rooms sets the tone for this whole episode, where the point is hammered home that there is now a distance between Booth and Bones, not that we believe in the space for one moment. Come on; this is Bones and Booth we are talking about here!

The death of the queen bee episode is so brutal to watch and yet so beautifully written, as it's written to be painful. Seeing two people still so clearly in love with each other and yet to have to pretend not to be is incredible-such great acting from both David and Emily.

Oh, and the dance scene kills me every time I watch it. It is the looks on their faces, that wistful look, that they both do so well-pure Bones magic. 10/10.

absolutely adore ! <3

(hi bones booth pod :-)) This is one of my favourite episodes of all time- it's a really interesting and fun way to bounce off of last weeks episode (forcing B&B together despite the awkwardness after last weeks confession) <3 As someone who strongly headcanons Brennan as autistic (and I relate to her heavily as an autistic person myself), this episode really solidifies that, as I'm sure many of us can relate to her experiences here (especially with being bullied for our autistic traits being "creepy"- as someone with a special interest in forensic anthro, i Get Her). It's a little painful to watch at times, knowing how she must have felt, but I love anytime we learn about her childhood, as it always adds so much to the way we read her. The case itself isn't even of that much interest to me, but I simply could not care less because I love all of the B&B moments in this episode <3 Him giving her the dance she never got is so ! Special ! To me !!! In conclusion- someone please give brennan a hug 😭

still socially inept
sandcrab27722 July 2018
After five and a half years, bones is as socially inept as ever ... she certainly isn't smart in my book and i think this is the prop the writers use to keep space between she and booth ... its getting quite boring and makes me want to move on ...
