I liked this episode more than the previous one "zoo or false" mainly because of the touching nature of it ending.
Plot An A Paragraph: Ted is very upset that his mother is getting married for a second time to the free-spirited Clint, while he is yet to get married once. (Ted refers to this as his mam is lapping him) Upset at the wedding, Ted stormed out of the reception and is not seen again for 72 hours. When he resurfaces, he takes the gang for a little drive. At their destination it is revealed Ted has bought a house on a whim, everybody tells him he is crazy. However he is determined this fixer upper is his dream house. Meanwell Marshall invents a game called "was I drunk, or was I was a kid" and everybody tries to figure out who cried at text mums wedding, Barney or Robin??
I loved the ending to this episode, as a quick montage with Ted's voice-over explaining that the fixer he bought, was in fact the house that he lived in with the mother and the children whilst the song "Our House" by Crosby Stills Nash and Young played over it, is a highlight of the entire show not just this season. Surprisingly touching.
