Tricks and Treats

Just getting a bit tired of Pria and her demands. She's not funny or nerdy or quirky. I also don't understand the relationship other than her wishing to dominate Leonard. The second plot element has Howard doing card tricks which annoys Sheldon who says they are juvenile. Until Howard challenges him to figure out how they are done.

"The Prestidigitation Approximation" is another pretty funny ep of "The Big Bang Theory"
tavm2 November 2011
In this last season ep of "The Big Bang Theory": Priya seems to be enough of an influence on Leonard to get him to wear contacts even though they make him bump into things. Meanwhile, Howard plays a magic card trick in front of Sheldon who doesn't believe him and tries to figure out how he does it. Anyway, about Priya, she has noticed that Penny still hangs with the gang especially ex-boyfriend Leonard and wants him to stop seeing her. Will Leonard be able to do it? I'll stop there and just say this was another funny ep of "The Big Bang Theory" especially whenever Sheldon uses his smarts in trying to figure out Howard's trick. Of course, if he really knew Howard and Raj, it probably would have been obvious to him...

The Prestidigitation Approximation (#4.18)

Warning: Spoilers
Priya is annoying. There was a similar story in Friends but there I could understand Emily after what happened at her wedding. Here she was just annoying. Howard fooling Sheldon with his card tricks was funny but unrealistic. Please, as if Sheldon would fall for it.

The Prestidigitation Approximation

It's taken four years, but I FINALLY feel like this show is finding its feet and working out what exactly it wants to be and what stories it is wanting to tell. It's starting to use its ever growing and developing characters a bit more fully, and it's all very pleasing to see.

The Priya/Leonard relationship is something I'm enjoying actually, though obviously not her treatment of him. Her ultimatum does feel like a device nicked from what 'Friends' did, but on the whole all of this was well played out.

The magic trick plot was just funny from start to finish, and this ties back into what I said in my opening paragraph - this show is starting to hit consistent form.
