Car issues, more like poverty car issues
svtec23 August 2022
Watched this because I was in a hotel with nothing better to watch on the tv. Buys some of the oldest, most poverty ridden cars known to man and "fixes" them. Mildly entertaining if you like to see old domestic cars with a host of issues.

People who don't like cars are literally review bombing
csxhck30 August 2022
People who know Tyler, Ed, and Tav know what kind of content they make. They purchase super cars, domestic, foreign and even old hunks of junks and fix them up to the point they barely run for our entertainment so they can make us have a good time and laugh and enjoy ourselves. They go to race tracks, foreign lands to do reviews and truly appreciate the cars they work on. They bring in guests who are the smartest in what they do. The car wizard, ninja, etc. Just because they all have money doesn't mean they don't know what they're doing. Every person on the show works hard for what they do and work hard on their individual blogs, YouTube series, and other ventures. They all know more about cars than the two other reviews who gave it 0 stars. We truly thank you guys for the content and much love for the adventures.

Fun car show
chrisgerencher30 August 2022
Watched every episode at least twice. Love the energy and appreciation for all types of vehicles. It's a fun alternative to,the typical car review shows. It's a lighthearted look at used cars, the typical problems you may have with them, and how fun buying a cheap car can be. Tyler Hoover and his friend/mechanic David "The car wizard" Long are a great team and their raw, unpolished show, is a treat from the usual dry delivery of the normal car shows. This show is the reason I subscribed to Motor Trend TV. If you take yourself too seriously, this may not be the show for you. The host also has a very enjoyable YouTube show that is an entertaining watch for any car lover. Looking forward to another season.

THIS SHOW LITERALLY CURED MY CANCER
Leo_krugeri29 August 2022
Hoovie and wizard are the most entertaining people known to man. I was about to have my first chemo treatment but then I decided to give this a try. BOOM! Cancer gone! I'd definitely reccomend this show to anyone, especially if you're trying to cure a terminal illness. I'm definitely never going back to any conventional doctor anymore. Car issues is all I need. Anyone who doesn't like this show just doesn't like their life I guess. That's ok, nobody likes your existence either. Enjoy sitting alone in the one bedroom apartment furnished with an old tube TV and a torn up recliner that you found in the dumpster. I'm sure that was the happiest day of your life.

Anyway,

Thank you Tyler, you're the best!

Enjoyable
mydkrnfqd30 August 2022
Tyler is a likable guy. It's not an informational show but an entertainment show with cars. He doesn't take himself seriously and that makes it fun to watch. Even my kids who couldn't care less about cars enjoy him.if you want a how to type show look elsewhere. He buys cars that we all had or wanted, few are really special but it's more real that way. People that are complaining are missing the point of the whole thing. There is a reason he calls his YouTube channel the dumbest automotive channel. He's become somewhat of an expert on the hooptie cars by default. Is he a mechanical expert? Oh no. That's what the Wizard is for. The Wizard is a real shop owner and mechanic who actually works on the cars. Overall it's just a fun show with a likable relatable host that isn't afraid to look stupid.

Maybe try this?

No offense, but there are people out there that cannot afford to buy the cars you wreck apparently just cause you can afford to wreck them. Might I suggest you donate driveable vehichles to those who cannot indulge in your extravagance? But I do enjoy the variety of vehicles that pop up, had several old vehicles that were in the junk yard that I made good driveable vehicles out of, a 64 Dodge half ton that someone put a wood flatbed on, 65 bucks, painted it in and out fire engine red, put new wood to replace old flatbed, and drove it couple years, sold it for 450. Got a 75 toyota celica out of junkyard, painted it metallic root beer, drove it three or four years. Just saying, some o them vehicles you use could go to good use for those that cannot afford anything more. Not that it would be a disadvantage for your work to move forward, I think many people wonder why someone in your position would not help those in need instead of wanton destroy it cause it looks good on tv mentality but still love watching your show. My first car when I was 15 was a 62 olds convertible, red, second car was a 54 chevy that I got for free, sanded n painted it fixed up the motor,( grind them old chevy valves, and drove it like any eighteen years old would do, with a twelve volt battery sitting on the floor to run the right track, and an old pair of home stereo speakers in the back, was party party all the time. Point is, I fixed em up and drove em. Methinks you could greatly expand your vieworship by donating cars to the needy. Don't have to be fancy cars, something the people can make use of. Like me 55 years ago, some young fella wishes he could fix something like that up. Love your show!

Not worth my time. . . or yours.
bullseyejack-880-91437624 August 2022
The show's hosts think they're funny. They are definitely not. The producers apparently believe they're giving car enthusiasts useful information. They are not. Don't waste your time watching.

Show is Entertaining
txhdj30 August 2022
Tyler does an excellent job having fun buying attainable cars, and explaining why they're special. I've watched every episode at least twice. It's an easy watch and is entertaining the entire time. It also shows you things to look for when used car shopping. I love that the show is based out of Wichita and features places in the Midwest and southeast, and shares that even in these areas, there's lot of car people. I hope this show continues on, as it's delightful. Tyler and Wizard make an entertaining duo.

Not relatable
rustfofo2 March 2023
He buys expensive cars and only THEN he inspects them, if they are worth keeping. The rest of us in the real world don't have the luxury of functioning this way.

His whole shtick has always been risk of losing money on terrible purchases. Oh look he's so goofy and naive, look at what a mistake he is about to make...

But the truth is nothing is ever being risked. There were never any risks. His rich father owns private planes. Losing 10 thousand dollars on a car purchase is utterly inconsequential.

The rest of us don't have the benefit of a safety net to catch us chasing our automotive dreams. We work for 20 years saving every penny and if we are lucky we get to buy a sports car at 40.

The "car wizard" persona has less charisma than a plank of wood.

Awesome show! Go watch it!
tnpxqgc29 August 2022
Great show!!!!!!!!!!!

Good wholesome entertainment. Tyler is a genuine guy, his personality comes out.

Forget the negative reviews by some grumpy old men.

Not the same old car show, Tyler brings a unique spin to the car shopping experience and he shows some really cool cars. It's a must watch! Hey buys the cars we all would buy and of course I can't forget the car wizard! Car wizard brings Tyler down to earth with his reality check after he looks over his cars.

If this isn't enough for you, his YouTube channel is great too! Go check it out, it's called hoovies garage and I'd recommend watching all his older videos to see where he started.

Tyler great. The Car Wizards always enjoyable to watch. Can't wait to see what crazy cars he finds next.

It's the best half-hour of Television!
michaelpfaff30 August 2022
I've been following Tyler on YouTube since the beginning. I was so excited to see his television show. It is so refreshing to see a show that relates so closely to others and me. I absolutely love the tv show!! I have each episode stored in my DVR. I look forward to each episode! He is genuine and so down to earth. Tyler is the kind of guy I want to hang out with! I couldn't say anything negative about this show. As I watch either the tv series or his YouTube videos, all the problems in the world and my life just cease to exist. For a half hour I am grinning from ear to ear. I hope there will be a holiday episode this year similar to his YouTube channel. Keep the episodes coming!!

Relatable Show
brianwmaynard30 August 2022
This show with Tyler is relatable to the average car guy. I've watched his YouTube for years and glad that Car Issues is still an option for non exotic cars. This show is excellent for anyone that buys, sells and trades cars or those that just enjoy the hunt and experience. Thanks Tyler for the enjoyment and introducing us all to the Wizard as well. Adding the Wizard has added a touch of real world "what ifs" to the car buying experience we all enjoy. I hate that we can't all just enjoy a show like this for what it is, great entertainment. Thanks for everything Tyler. Maybe soon we will be watching CarTrek on MotorTrend.

Car Issues is so much fun!
jdkendig30 August 2022
This is a fun and entertaining show. Like Wheeler Dealers but a bit lighter and well suited for car enthusiasts and non enthusiasts alike. I can easily watch this with my wife or daughter - who aren't car enthusiasts - and we're all entertained. It moves quickly and still leaves you with knowledge about the car Tyler is focusing on for that episode. Tyler's love and passion for cars definitely shines through. The best part is that this feels like an authentic show that focuses on the cars more than the presenters. The variety of cars shown over a season is great - everything from pickup trucks and SUVs to movie cars and sports cars. This means that there's something for everyone in each season. And I like the fact that the cars Tyler buys are fairly inexpensive. That makes the show feel more accessible and approachable. He enjoys the cars, sorts through some issues with them, and then decides whether to keep it or flip it. So much fun!

Great Show
gdesena30 August 2022
I've been a fan of Tyler's ever since the YouTube algorithm thought I should watch a video of him doing donuts in the snow with a Lamborghini Countach. My heart nearly skipped a beat when he nearly hit a mailbox, but by gosh YouTube was right! I've been a fan ever since, and while I do not have as much time to keep up with all of the YouTube channels I follow as I used to, I always do my best to stay up to date. Car Issues brings this joy from my computer screen during the work day, to my television screen in the evening. I am not home when it airs live, so I record every episode on my DVR and get caught up when I have a spare hour or two. It is one of my favorite show on Motor Trend network, and I dearly hope it continues. I like the variety of cars on the show as well as the little adventures Tyler takes them on after purchasing them and before taking them to Omega. I enjoy both Tyler and the Car Wizard, both on television and on YouTube. Keep up the great work!

Hoovie is a hoot!
bimmerdoc30 August 2022
I love watching this goofy sun of a gun get into automotive shenanigans! He is exactly how I would be if I had his ability to make poor choices in used cars. I do make poor choices in used vehicles, I just have fewer, lol. I like that he chooses the more obscure vehicles to buy and review. It is so much better than the scripted crap that is so prevalent in automotive programming. The production quality feels low budget but at the same time it is clearly well done and the feel is intentional. If you like Tyler Hoover be sure to also catch Hoovie's Garage and Barrett Jackson Auctions, where he provides information and commentary on the vehicles going across the block. Keep up the great work!

I like it A LOT.
qyfkztmjz30 August 2022
Far more scripted than his YouTube channel but nearly as enjoyable. I feel like he does the work for me because I would make similar mistakes with the vehicles he buys. They are usually something very interesting that I have considered purchasing at one point Orr another and even after his shenanigans may still try to purchase. I feel like I am with him in middle America sharing his ups and downs about hooptie life. Approachable characters who have begun to feel like family. I now follow the Wizard, the Car Ninja and euroasian Bob. I enjoy the true camaraderie that they all have and their true love for cars shows through every time they are on. It didn't cure my cancer, but that's ok.

Very unique automotive reality show!
ydswhnbv30 August 2022
This show is so much better than the average "we got to build this pile of junk or lose the shop" trend. I love the variety of cars and SUVs shown. Tyler offers a great perspective on the car industry knows so much more than the other hosts of competing shows. The things he does with the cars like the paintball shooting with a Aston Martin was amazing.

My favorite episode has the cleanest first gen Jeep Grand Cherokee I've seen on tv. This show doesn't feature heavily modified show cars or the crappiest of crappy cars that get fixed up in 30 minutes. But obtainable and desirable modern classics.

Quirky cars with a Quirky host!
chrismriester30 August 2022
Tyler is a guy who likes the simple things in life. Old German and American cars that drive with the comfort of an old chair like your grandparents had. He also likes the cheap and needing a little love. He likes to give worn out old cars a 2nd chance on life and enjoy them for what they are.

The Weeeeeeezard is a mechnic from a bygone Era that actually diagnosis the problem not just scans the computer and hopes for the best.

If you don't like 2 friends rescuing older cars and then one giving the other crazy for buying a pile of crap what kind of friends do you even have? That's the exact kind of relationship you need when your the host of the dumbest automotive channel on youtube.

Tyler Hoover is a god amongst men
xhmzf30 August 2022
This show is gold, like anything Hoovie touches. He is the alchemist of the car world, constantly setting trends, birthing ingenious projects, breathing new life into hoopties. He has single-handedly changed the car entertainment industry and revitalized a nation. Tyler Hoover and the Car Wizard are icons, bringing hours of entertainment to the masses. If I could take just one more ride before I died it would be with Hoovie in a riptide blue Escalade. All hail the king of Car Issues. Make this show required viewing for American's. I hope to live long enough to meet the stars of the show in person, but if not, I feel their presence deep in my soul and will carry them with me always. One love.

Because He Asked Me To
jaymainord30 August 2022
I have watched Tyler Hover from the beginning of his YouTube videos until now on all of his platforms. He is an acquired taste, but his heart is in the right place. He has great and varied taste in cars. A true car lover. Nothing he does to me could be wrong as long as he loves cars and stays true to that. He doesn't respond to my questIons, but I assume he is too busy and wealthy to mess with someone like me. He asked on Facebook to leave a good review on here because what other people think of him is very important. For that reason he makes me sorta sad, but I still like him, so I am doing as I was asked.

The Best car show since Top Gear
qualitysecurity30 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I am a long time viewer of Hoovie and love all his shows!

Car issues is a great show and the chemistry between Tyler and the wizard is just awesome! I'd give it a 20/10 if I could. Tyler is a nice mix of goofy, funny and knowledgeable and the wizard just ties the whole show together.

Each show that Hoovie comes up with has the right balance of car information, humor and the friendships between Hoovie and the wizard really comes off great on screen.

Can't wait for the next season, keep them coming! Car issues is now my new favorite show and has now surpassed my other car favorites as my ultimate favorite. My favorite episode would have to be the Jurassic Park Jeep, it's hard to pull off a hood copy of one of these and I like the one Tyler found.
