In the holiday camp, a maid speaks about a drowning that happened long before the year of the story (which is set in 1953) (presumably in the late 1930's). She was going to apply "the kiss of life" to the victim, that is mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. However, this lifesaving method wasn't described until 1957 (by Dr Peter Safar).
