- SunShine is still adjusting to the fact of O'Neal no longer being on campus, he who was voted off after the latest weigh-in. That leaves Sam and Koli as the only remaining couple among the six contestants still on campus. Those six have made it to makeover week. Each is given $1,000 to shop for clothing. They get to share their new made-over self with some special people. With their special people, the six are treated to a private concert to cap off their makeover. They get back to the reality of campus when they compete in a reward challenge. They must climb a Jacobs Ladder suspended over a swimming pool. The first person into the pool will have a one pound penalty at the weigh-in, the last person remaining with a one pound advantage at the weigh-in. The second place finisher questions his/her motivations for giving up the challenge. The results of the challenge affect how Bob and Jillian conduct the last chance workout.—Huggo
- First, the remaining six contestants get $1,000 shopping sprees at their favorite stores before heading to the salon to meet celebrity hair stylist Jonathan Antin and begin their makeovers. Then it's time for amazing reveals and emotional surprise reunions, when the made-over players show off their incredible new looks to loved ones flown in to help them celebrate their big day. Later the contestants and their guests are treated to an unforgettable concert from recording artist Ashanti, who shares her inspirational music. This week's challenge finds the players climbing Jacob's Ladder cardio machines while suspended over a pool, with the winner getting a weigh-in related prize. And finally, two contestants fall below the yellow line at weigh-in, leading to a very emotional elimination as another contestant is sent home.—NBC Publicity
- Open with Alison greeting the final six contestants and telling them they have already lost a total of 805 pounds. She also tells them this will be Makeover Week. The guys will get $1,000 to spend on clothes. They are giddy.
We see several of the contestants surprised that they are finding some clothes too big for them. Michael is by himself at a big and tall store and feeling bummed to still be shopping there after losing almost 200 pounds.
Celebrity hair stylist Jonathan Antin gives them each new haircuts.
While each contestant looks at themselves in a circular mirror room, one of the walls slides aside to reveal family there to see the new look. Sunshine's brothers are ecstatic, Koli gets a lei from his parents and Ashley's sister show up for a scream fest. Sam's parents also bring him a lei and tell him how proud they are. Short-haired Daris gets a visit from his father and sister and Michael's sisters think he looks fantastic.
The contestants and their families listen to a concert from Ashanti and we are shown video clips from earlier in the season.
This week's challenge consists of six climbing treadmills suspended above a pool. Last one to stay on wins a 1-pound advantage and the first player to fall in gets a 1-pound disadvantage. Ashley falls in after three minutes in to take the penalty. Michael goes in two minutes later. It takes 40 minutes for the next person to fall in the water, with Sunshine going in third. Just past the 55-minute mark Sam drops into the pool. Daris and Koli continue on past the two-hour mark, the 2:15 mark and the 2:30 mark. Just seconds after the 2 ½ hour mark Daris says "screw it" and drops off. Koli is the winner.
The gang fills the trainers in about what happened during the last challenge. Bob and Jillian seems stunned Koli was on the treadmill for so long.
Last Chance workout time: Jillian focuses on Ashley and her weigh-in disadvantage. After hearing Daris say he basically gave up at the end of the challenge, Bob takes him aside and asks where hid head is at. Bob then takes him through a rigorous individual workout. At one point Daris falls off the back of a treadmill and jumps right back on without a second thought.
The final six arrive at the scale. First up is Koli and his 1-pound advantage. A confident Koli has lost 15 pounds (to 244) and screams out loud. With the advantage (not that he'll need it) Koli lost more than six percent of his body weight this week.
Michael is next, needing 17 pounds have lost 200 since arriving at the ranch. He is short of that accomplishment, but has dropped nine pounds (to 334) and is low-key about the number. Daris is curious as to what he'll have lost given the challenge and Last Chance workout. Needing 14 pounds to be safe, Daris has lost nine (to 205). Koli is now safe.
Sunshine needs at least eight pounds to be above the yellow line. She does one better, losing nine pounds (to 178) and claps her hands with relief. This means Sunshine is safe and Michael is still sitting in last place. Sam needs at least 11 pounds to be safe. He is instead down just two pounds (to 238). Bob thinks Sam would already be the healthiest contestant to ever leave the ranch. Sam's loss pots him in last place and means he will definitely be up for vote this week. It also means that Daris is safe.
The penalized Ashley is last to weigh-in and needs more than seven pounds to be save. She does it, having dropped ten (to 238). Ashley screams and claps her hands. This means Sam and Michael will be up for vote this week.
Sam tells the group he's been just as intense as he's been the entire show. He says he doesn't want to go home and understands that it's a "tough decision." An emotional Michael says he still can't see the finish line and last week was five pounds less than Daris' starting weight. "Sam did it. He looks amazing. Do you see how happy he is? I want to be that happy."
Koli (duh) votes for Michael. Sunshine says she is voting for what is best for her and votes for Michael, the "bigger threat." Ashley says this isn't about friendship for her and she must vote for Sam. Daris is last and he says he is voting for what is best for him. We flashback to him asking Michael for a guarantee that if he votes for Sam he won't ever have his name written down. Daris then reveals his vote is for Sam. With the tiebreaker most weight loss that week, Sam is eliminated.
Sam says the hardest thing for him is leaving Koli and then gives his cousin a long-winded, weepy motivational pep talk (sigh). We see Sam arrive home and then give his family a speech about being home and the importance of family.
Sam tells us that since leaving the ranch he's lost another two pounds and that he is the only contestant in show history to reach his goal weight while still on the ranch. Sam is no longer trying to lose weight, he tells us.
The big reveal is that Sam has moved to Los Angeles and is dating live-in girlfriend Stephanie, who was eliminated in Week 11. Their relationship started a few weeks in and Stephanie tells us she thinks one of the reasons she was meant to be on the show was to meet Sam.
