SGU Season 2 kicks off in Deep Dark Style
mohammedwaseems7 October 2010
Stargate Universe Season Two is pulling out all the stops this time round. There was more than a hint of "character setting" in season one, and whilst correct and proper to do that, some would say myself included that some things dragged on a bit too much.

I love the track Season Two seems to going down. It's getting dark and getting deep. The story line so far is engaging and the cliffhangers do keep you coming back for more.

Robert Carlisle is excellent as usual, by far and away the most complex character of Dr. Rush which he plays with aplomb. The convergence of the battle for control is coming to a head in the next few shows and it is set to be impressive and addictive viewing again.

Warning: Spoilers
This was a good episode. They finally got back on track with the main story of the destiny after several filler episodes. A few petty observations: It's mighty calm on the surface of that planet that's supposed to have atmospheric super-rotation. Also when the shuttle clipped the mountain it seemed to remain on the same course. It should've veered to the side and continued in a different direction. As far as Riley goes, was suffocating him really the best they could do? They had stargate access at that point. They couldn't just get a few more strong people to come out to the shuttle, apply a tourniquet and lift that structure pinning him to the floor?

Robert Cooper's masterpiece!
nikikozoderc6 October 2010
Robert Cooper is the best writer SGU has ever had. He gave us "Time" in first season, Vegas and Doppelganger in Stargate Atlantis and my all time favorite stargate episode from SG-1 "Threads". These are all very character based episodes. And there we have another great work from Cooper called "Aftermath". The story is fantastic in aspects of drama and drama is something what makes SGU so great.

SPOILERS: Episode begins with Rush discovering the bridge and that's something that will effect all episodes in season 2. Because he can control the ship. This episode was also very sad, because we lost probably most likable side character. Ferreira's(Young) acting was again fantastic and visuals were great as always. I'm looking forward to next episode to find out what this object at the end is.
