The CBS schedule typically looks about the same year after year. That's all changed for the 2023-24 television season because of the writers and actors strikes. None of the network's usual scripted shows are on the fall schedule. How will this alternate programming perform in the ratings for the 2023-24 season? Will CBS decide to focus more on reality shows moving forward? Stay tuned!
CBS shows this season (so far): 48 Hours, 60 Minutes, The Amazing Race, Big Brother Reindeer Games, Blue Bloods, Buddy Games, CSI: Vegas, Elsbeth, The Equalizer, FBI, FBI: International, FBI: Most Wanted, FBI: True, Fire Country, Ghosts, Ghosts UK, Lotería Loca, NCIS: Sydney, Raid the Cage, Seal Team, So Help Me Todd, Survivor, Swat, Tracker, and Young Sheldon.

Exclusive: More ensemble drama series are reducing the number of episodes cast members are in as a way to save money. The series regulars on CBS’ FBI and FBI: Most Wanted will have their minimum guarantees trimmed by 2 episodes next season, Deadline has learned. The third FBI series, FBI: International, is not impacted, I hear. Reps for FBI producers Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television declined comment.
As Deadline reported exclusively this week, veteran cast members on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy also are getting their episodes cut next season by 3-4 in a cost-saving measure.
The move for the two FBI series mirrors the episodic guarantees reductions applied to Wolf/Uni TV’s Chicago and Law & Order dramas a year ago. The timing makes sense as such talent cost-cutting usually follows a renewal that nowadays comes with a flat or reduced license fee.

FBI: International said goodbye to another original star on Tuesday evening, and to our surprise, nothing happened to indicate Scott Forrester’s (Luke Kleintank) story was over.
As Monsters and Critics previously reported, the actor opted to depart the CBS procedural of his own volition.
Given Forrester’s lack of closure, there’s a good chance Kleintank wasn’t interested in returning to film an on-screen goodbye.
The latest episode of FBI: International found Forrester continuing his investigation into the case that’s been plaguing him all season, so it’s possible his arc could be a loose end that continues in the hopes the actor returns down the line.
Losing Forrester is another significant loss for the team after Heida Reed’s Agent Kellett was written out of the Dick Wolf drama earlier this season.

“Thom Browne: The Man Who Fell to Earth,” a working title, marks Dogwoof’s third collaboration with director Reiner Holzemer and producer Aminata Sambe following 2016’s “Dries,” an intimate portrait of the fashion designer Dries Van Noten, and 2019’s “Martin Margiela: In His Own Words,” about one of the most revolutionary and influential fashion designers of his time.

We have some unfortunate news for fans of FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted.
CBS will not be airing new episodes of any of the shows tonight (April 30) and repeats will be shown instead.
The three shows kicked off their current seasons back on February 13 and they’re all getting shortened orders this year because of the recent Hollywood strikes.
So, why aren’t we getting episode 11 of each season tonight?
Keep reading to find out more…
Sources confirmed to OnTheFlix that new episodes will resume on May 7, which makes sense when you look at the finale schedule for CBS.
All of the FBI shows are getting 13-episode seasons and each show has three episodes remaining in the seasons. CBS already announced that the finales will air on May 21, so the network needed to air reruns for one week to fill in the gap.

It came down to the wire, but NCIS: Hawai’i ultimately didn’t make the cut for next season at CBS. The news comes days before the network is set to announce its fall schedule on May 2 and before the Season 3 finale of Hawai’i is scheduled to air on May 6. According to sources, the episode was not meant to be a series finale and includes a tease for what was to come but fans won’t be left reeling by a major cliffhanger.
The cancellation is not a complete shocker since, as Deadline has been reporting, NCIS: Hawai’i was on the bubble. Still, the outcome is surprising since an effort was made to extend the well performing drama’s run for at least an abbreviated fourth and final season, with producers agreeing to a massive budget cut and open to other concessions in order to keep the show going.

We know that the Arrow alum will appear in the final two episodes of FBI: International Season 3.
Kleintank is set to depart before these two episodes, so we don’t think Donnell’s character will be involved in Forrester’s last storyline.
“After much thought and consideration, I’ve made the difficult decision to leave FBI International,” Kleintank said this week.
Will Colin Donnell replace Luke Kleintank?
“This decision is driven by my unwavering commitment to my family, whose love and well-being are paramount in my life. I’m profoundly thankful for the extraordinary cast and crew of the show,...

Another FBI series is saying goodbye to a team leader—let’s just hope this time isn’t with a tragic death in the line of duty, like was the case for Julian McMahon‘s Jess on Most Wanted. Luke Kleintank, who has played the Fly Team’s leader Scott Forrester since the series premiere in 2021, is leaving FBI: International in Season 3, according to Deadline. His final episode is set to air on Tuesday, May 7. That’s two episodes before the finale on May 21, so we’ll have to wait to see what this means for the team in the rest of the season. This news comes soon after CBS renewed the show for its fourth season. “After much thought and consideration, I’ve made the difficult decision to leave FBI International,” Kleintank said in a statement to Deadline. “This decision is driven by my unwavering commitment to my family,...

As much as we’d love to see an FBIs crossover wedding—John Boyd and Shantel VanSanten are now on different shows, with Nina now part of the Fugitive Task Force on Most Wanted, so it could happen!—that’s not what’s in store for one of the spinoffs this spring. Because while VanSanten did tease to TV Insider, “There’s some bells on the horizon for some lucky winner in the finale of Most Wanted,” she wasn’t talking about her own character. Rather, as CBS’ official description of the finale, “Powderfinger,” airing May 21, reveals, it’s Ray (Edwin Hodge) who will be preparing to celebrate a major life milestone with his wedding to Cora (Caroline Harris) approaching. As for the case, the team will be busy racing to catch the culprit threatening Manhattan with a dirty bomb. Let’s hope that doesn’t interfere with the wedding!

“After six years of running two, or more, shows, and CBS now picking up FBI for three more years, this was the perfect time for me to step back and focus my efforts on running Law & Order and developing new projects,” Eid said in a statement. “I’m extremely proud of FBI,...

Third in a series on broadcast network series renewals. CBS will have some painful cancellation decisions to make this spring. With three new drama series, NCIS: Origins, Matlock and Watson, on tap for next season, S.W.A.T. surprisingly uncanceled and the Australian NCIS: Sydney, originally only intended as a temporary replacement during the strike, also renewed for 2024-25, the network will have to do some slate purging to make room for the additions.

After months of promoting the final season of S.W.A.T., CBS reversed course Thursday afternoon with the following announcement:
S.W.A.T. has been renewed for Season 8!

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 Episode 8 “Supply Chain.”] FBI: Most Wanted goes home with Nina (Shantel VanSanten) in the latest episode, and that means a mini-crossover with FBI, with John Boyd appearing as Stuart Scola. To say there’s tension would be an understatement. The episode begins with the two arguing about parenting styles—specifically, he thinks she’s going overboard with all the stuff she has for Dougie since he can’t find his shoes in the morning, while she thinks she’s just prepared. “You’re like obsessed with being some kind of perfect mother,” he says. Nina confides in Barnes (Roxy Sternberg) and admits she knows that since she didn’t have a mom growing up, she’s just doing the best she can without an example to follow. Barnes points out that she and Scola are lucky to have each other and recommends not taking that for granted.

The FBI universe remains a massive success story for CBS, and the network revealed some exciting news on Tuesday afternoon.
FBI, the flagship series, has scored an unprecedented three-season renewal, keeping it on the air through the 2026-2027 season.
Given its continued success, renewal was a no-brainer, but given the continued struggles broadcast TV has faced in recent years, multi-season renewals seemed out of the question for most shows.
But you can’t have FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted without the mothership.
It’s the glue that holds this universe together, and there’s a slim chance the two spinoffs will outlive it.
FBI Season 6 is currently averaging 9.1 million viewers (in Live+7 figures), making it Tuesday’s most-watched series.
FBI recently aired a tragic twist for Maggie
