The Japanese film website Cinema Today has uploaded the new trailer for Kazuyoshi Kumakiri’s Blazing Famiglia to their YouTube channel.
The film is a live-action adaptation of Hiroshi Tanaka’s manga series “Bakugyaku Kazoku” (1999-2004). The series followed up Tanaka’s Badboys manga (1988-1996), which centered around biker gangs in Hiroshima and was made into a movie in 2011. Bakugyaku Kazoku is set in the Kanto region and features different themes than its predecessor with much older characters.
In the movie, comedian Yoshimi Tokui stars as Tetsu Hino, former leader of Kanto’s number one biker gang. Nowadays, he’s a middle-aged construction worker with a rebellious son named Shuhei (Kento Hayashi) who doesn’t respect him.
One day, Tetsu is reunited with his old friends in the wake of an assault. Faced with his past and experiencing strong emotions, Tetsu rediscovers the passion he had in his younger days.

Last Monday, the official website for Takashi Kubota’s live-action adaptation of Hiroshi Tanaka’s seinen manga Badboys was updated with a full trailer.
Shogo Suzuki plays the protagonist of the manga’s original story, Tsukasa Kiriki, the son of a wealthy family who rebelled to join a motorcycle gang. However, the movie’s plot seems to be based on a later story set in the aftermath of a murder involving Hiroshima gang members Nomura (Takahiro Miura) and Shinnosuke Abe (Hidenori Danno).
Zenryoku Agency will be releasing Badboys in Japan on February 26, 2011.
Thanks to logboy for the tip.

Last month it was announced that Badboys, a manga serialized in Young King from 1988-1996, was getting a live-action film adaptation directed by Takashi Kubota. Some of the main cast was revealed yesterday, including Takahiro Miura: second son of veteran actor Tomokazu Miura and retired 1970s mega-idol Momoe Yamaguchi.
Miura will play Nomura, the most feared member of Hiroshima’s number one biker gang “Kyou Rengou” (Maniac Alliance). The story involves Kyou Rengou facing off against Gokurakucho, a formerly weak gang which rose to number two in Hiroshima thanks primarily to their eighth generation leader, Tsukasa Kiriki (Shogo Suzuki). Shinnosuke Abe (Crows Zero II), Hidenori Tokuyama (Indigo no Yoru), and Yoshihiko Hosoda (Detroit Metal City) also star.
“Badboys” is slated for a January release in Japan.
