The amazing Amy Acker
doujyr16 March 2022
Amy Acker was amazing in Person of Interest and it's scandalous she's had so little work since that show came to an abrupt and very premature end. She didn't have much to work with here, unfortunately.

Warning: Spoilers
One night romances happen, did he cheat on you, no, then get the bleep over it, stupid plot line and as soon as the kid entered the fire house, I knew the plot, 2/10 star quality script.

Beyond Stupid

Warning: Spoilers
If you discover your husband had a one night stand 20 years ago which resulted in a kid that he didn't know existed, and the only reason you're upset is because he had a one night stand in his 20s, then you're a petty moron. I cannot believe how mind numbingly stupid the writers are on this show. I've watched this up until now, because I've liked so many of the actors, but this is the end for me.

So? He had a life before you! Get over it!

Warning: Spoilers
If someone turns up from my past life, No One should be upset in my CURRENT life!

That selfish self centered Grace needs to wake up!

She has ABSOLUTELY NO RIGHT to be mad at Judd or at the teen who appeared. Grrrrrr

Of course it's different if there was an affair in their current relationship producing a child or not.

How is Owen the hero again??
Baxxie2216 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This episode made no sense. Whatsoever. First of all, why would Grace be mad about Judd having a one night stand 20 years ago, when they weren't even together? Why would she be mad about finding out he had a kid from that? He didn't even know. Grace is the level headed one. She would have comforted him. Figured out what happened. It shouldn't have been about her.

Judd just found out he's a dad and the only reaction we get is him denying it and then feeling bad towards Grace?? His whole life just changed.

And then oh my god the kidnapping. Carlos worked so hard to find out all the details. He got the respect from the detective and together they found out who it was and went to catch her.

Owen has been on dates and seriously who cares? He is on a date and he happens to see the car Katie is in? Happens to recognize it. And chases after it, since of course he does. Because he's not just a fire captain, he's super Owen in everything. And he saves her?! Are you kidding me? What about Carlos? Why not let him have this? I'm white myself and wow this was awful.

Did Rob Lowe put in his contract that he has to save the day in every single episode no matter what he's doing or something??

Do better. You are a diverse show. But this did not make any sense and it is infuriating. I don't know who got away with writing this episode. But it's not okay.

Get rid of Owen
ethompson-0832514 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Seriously. I get that Rob Lowe was the initial drive for the show, but it's getting ridiculous. How does every characters episode become about Owen? We have an episode about Carlos solving a kidnapping and somehow it becomes about Owen saving the day YET AGAIN.

The reason people loved the original show is because it balanced the storyline of the individual characters. We got whole episodes about these individuals. I want to know way more about Grace and Matteo and Carlos and Marjan and TK and how they're developing. I'm sick of watching "The Owen Show."

Drama For Drama's Sake
derekobr-0106716 July 2022
I have been catching up with this series, up to this point, and have enjoyed it more than I thought, having expected a Good Ole Boy, God Guns and Guts show; it's only partly that LOL

I'm only halfway through the episode, and I have to agree with some of the other reviewers: Grace's reaction and attitude did not jibe with the faithful but forgiving character to date. It was Drama For Drama's Sake, a sign of a poor writing choice. Hopefully, it will improve as I continue through the rest of the series to catch up.
