Bethenny Frankel just missed the cut for Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice,” revealing on Monday that she was the first alternate for the sophomore season of the popular NBC reality TV competition that aired in the early to mid-2000s.
A natural foods chef at the time, Frankel auditioned for Season 2 of “The Apprentice” (2004) and advanced through multiple rounds of casting before being being informed by producers that she would not make the final 18 contestants. Kelly Perdew ultimately won that season and a position within the Trump organization.
“I was on the normal person’s ‘Apprentice,’ meaning not ‘The Celebrity Apprentice,'” Frankel recalled. “I was selling these Bethenny Bakes cookies at a trade show at a booth. And I asked my partner at the time if he could get me the cheapest, smallest video camera — I didn’t know how to use one — and I asked him to record me selling cookies…...

The Real Housewives of New York City will have an all-new cast for the upcoming 14th season, but legacy stars Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan are back with a new spinoff, Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake, which premieres on Sunday, July 9, at 9/8c on Bravo. Comcast and NBCUniversal are pushing Peacock out of the nest starting Wednesday, April 15, promising to unfurl a rich plume of 15,000-plus hours of streaming content, first for the cable giant’s own TV and internet customers.
Peacock is then slated to be available across the U.S. on July 15 — while NBCU is mulling the possibility of moving that up sooner — in various three tiers across mobile, web and connected-tv devices: paid with ads ($4.99 monthly); paid with no ads ($9.99 monthly); and completely free with ads with a truncated content lineup. With the national launch, Comcast (and Cox) subscribers also will have the option to get an ad-free version of the service for an additional $5 per month.
So what’s on the menu? Peacock will include live and on-demand content across current and past TV shows, movies, news, and late night programming, with some live sports once they resume post-pandemic. Most of...

Rhony’s Bethenny Frankel Breaks Down over ‘Torturous’ Divorce: ‘I Don’t Know Why I’m Being Punished’
Another trip to the Berkshires, another “blackout” breakdown by Bethenny Frankel.
On Wednesday’s all-new Real Housewives of New York City, the 46-year-old Skinnygirl mogul was brought to tears when discussing her “torturous” divorce from ex-husband Jason Hoppy
The moment came after Frankel — and fellow Housewives Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Carole Radziwill, Dorinda Medley and Tinsley Mortimer — confronted Luann D’Agostino about her upcoming wedding to Tom D’Agostino, Jr. amid new allegations of infidelity they had heard about her husband-to-be.
“I don’t want to hear this bulls— anymore. I’m done,” Luann told the girls in response. “I...

2017-05-17T06:29:11-07:00'rhony' Cast is Reportedly Envious of Bethenny Frankel
Several of the "Real Housewives of New York City” are privately complaining that Bravo is, once again, playing favorites with Bethenny Frankel.
In fact, we’re told that cast members from a number of the cable network’s shows are steaming because Frankel was the only Bravo star — besides former network exec and current on-air host Andy Cohen — to be invited to parent NBC’s upfront presentation at Radio City Music Hall.
NBC Universal held the upfronts for several of its networks, including Bravo, E!, NBC and USA, among others — at one event, and this year’s shindig cut out the usual number of Bravo reality stars starving for exposure.

Cue the Taylor Swift, and welcome back Tinsley Mortimer to New York.
On The Real Housewives of New York City Season 9 Episode 2, it's less about Tom and more about new faces.
Tinsley failed to make an appearance on last week's premiere, but you may remember her as a socialite who graced the tabloids for years in the 2000s. She was a regular on red carpets, and eventually in Page Six for her divorce and legal drama.
Personally, I could never forget her cameo during Gossip Girl's season two white party in the Hamptons.
Especially after Blair Waldorf threw shade at her earlier in the series. "Gossip Girl's credibility is like Tinsley Mortimer's after a few martinis," Queen B said after Gossip Girl started posting crazy stories with no sources.
I certainly hope the ladies paid attention during Gg, and I can't wait until all of them meet her.

In the world of reality TV, nothing stays the same for long. The stakes need to be raised, drama heightened, and fresh sources of conflict added to the mix. Nowhere is this spirit of reinvention more alive than in Bravo's "Real Housewives" franchise. And when we say reinvention, we of course mean recasting -- because sometimes the only way to fix a flailing show is to infuse it with new, claws-out, drama-queen blood. But then there are the precious few who stay, season after season, either because Bravo has anointed them the chosen ones or fans just can't get enough.
The list of original Housewives still on their respective shows is a short yet complicated one, some stars leaving, some leaving then returning, and some being demoted to "friend of the Housewives" status. And while it seems that Housewives come and go every time the wind blows, we did do...

It's been a tough year for some kids on reality shows.
From Here Comes Honey Boo Boo to Friday Night Tykes to the kids of Real Housewives with parents getting divorced or going to jail, it could be hard to understand why a parent would want to broadcast their child’s development for all the world to see -- even if they’re able to pay for college down the road with talent fees.
Child advocates who we spoke to said that there aren't enough regulations, especially for shows shot outside California, to protect kids from being overworked and exploited. Unlike the push for a "no kids" policy in paparazzi photos -- which was supported by Kristen Bell and other celebrity parents -- there’s been no coordinated campaign focused on kids on reality shows.

Bethenny Frankel has played her hand well ... just about as well as anyone who found fame with a reality show called The Real Housewives of New York City could.
No, she played it better – she has been disciplined and smart. Look at IMDb.com: Bethenny has 41 credits as herself. Jill Zarin has only 25.
And, yes, LuAnn de Lesseps acted on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and released a single called "Chic, C'est La Vie." However, the ultimate reality star is she who builds the strongest career for herself as herself.

Bethenny Frankel can still do plenty of talking – just not on her own show.
Bethenny, the eponymous talk show hosted by the former reality star, has been canceled, People has confirmed. Deadline.com reports low ratings doomed the show, although it appears she'll be ending her run in May on excellent terms.
"I had a blast doing this show with Telepictures," she says in a statement. "My entire staff worked so hard and made every day so much fun. I am thankful for the experience and for all my fans who tuned in every day."
Her production company echoed the warm sentiments.

For a Skinnygirl, Bethenny Frankel’s media diet is sure reaching unhealthy proportions.

She's in the midst of a bitter divorce and custody battle with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Jason Hoppy, so it's little wonder that Bethenny Frankel admits that she's feeling "definitely bruised." "I'm going through a brutal, brutal time," Frankel, 42, reveals in an interview with ABC's Nightline, about the toll the divorce is taking on her. "It really, really is. I mean, there's no other way to slice it." When Frankel called it quits on her almost three-year marriage in December, she released a statement saying that she and Hoppy hoped to "amicably co-parent" their 3-year-old daughter, Bryn. But it hasn't turned out that way.

Bethenny Frankel's divorce hasn't been easy. The reality star ended things with husband Jason Hoppy back in January, but the legal battles are still going strong. “It's been hard," Frankel told Life & Style. "It’s been difficult to stay sane.”
Frankel and Hoppy have managed to argue over everything from their NYC apartment -- which they "both refuse to leave" -- to their daughter Bryn's nutrition.
When she filed for divorce, the 42-year-old Skinnygirl mogul claimed she did not anticipate that things would be so very bitter. "I really did think it would be amicable," she told People magazine back in May. Guess "Bethenny Ever After" isn't really going according to plan.

Moms and dads watch out! Your kids are stealing the TV spotlight and grabbing all of our attention! Despite the impression that reality-tv thrives on drama and feuds involving adults, sometimes it's the innocent, adorable kids that make us tune in week after week. Sure we love when Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice feuds with her costars or when Rachel Zoe freaks out about a dress that comes out less than perfect. On the other side, we can't help but fall in love with Teresa's opinionated daughter Milania Giudice, or Zoe's fashion-forward son, Skyler Berman. As Jason Hoppy and Bethenny Frankel had their differences on Bethenny Ever After, we smiled every time baby Bryn...

Bethenny Frankel and husband Jason Hoppy are reportedly nearing a divorce settlement. And in a candid new interview with People, the Bravo reality star opens up about bouncing back from her split with the father of her 3-year-old daughter, Bryn.
The "Bethenny Ever After" personality, 42, tells the magazine that her first hunch that she and Hoppy, 41, were incompatible came early on in the marriage, and frequent fighting led to counseling sessions.
"I felt like there was an expectation to be someone that I wasn't," she said. "All the things that I've tried to resolve in therapy and get past from my childhood reared their ugly head in my marriage. My marriage made me feel like I was a bad person, like I was damaged, I was dysfunctional, I was never going to be happy. But I don't believe that to be true. Yet there I was—in a relationship that made me feel that way.

Talk about an awkward living arrangement. Looks like Bethenny Frankel and estranged hubby Jason Hoppy are digging their heels into the ultra-plush carpet—because they are reportedly both still living in the same home. The $5 million Tribeca apartment, which was featured on Bethenny Ever After, was purchased by the pair in 2011, during much happier times. After an extensive renovation by interior designers Mariette Himes Gomez and Brooke Gomez, they had turned the three-bedroom, three-bathroom place into their dream pad. Now, however, given the recent set of circumstances, the 3,400 square-foot apartment simply isn't big enough for the both of 'em. So, what exactly are they fighting...
