November is upon us, which means one thing if you are a writer: National Novel Writing Month, also know as NaNoWriMo, the 30-day period in which writers collectively take it upon themselves to write 50,000 words of a novel.

Exclusive: Embankment Films boards adaptation of post-apocalyptic book series ‘Forest Of Hands And Teeth’.
Embankment Films has signed on to sell Doug Liman-produced Ya thriller The Forest Of Hands And Teeth, which will star Game Of Thrones’ Maisie Williams.
The film is based on the first in the trilogy of post-apocalyptic zombie-fantasy novels by Carrie Ryan, adapted by and to be directed by actres- turned first-time feature director Kate Maberly (Finding Neverland).
Former Screen Star of Tomorrow Williams will play the headstrong young Mary, who dreams of venturing beyond the fence that surrounds her village in the heart of the forest.
Prevented from leaving by the authoritarian Sisterhood and the terrors of the Unconsecrated that lurk beyond the perimeter, Mary uncovers the secrets at the heart of her community that threaten to destroy the fragile peace.
Pre-production is underway with shoot set for early 2017 in Romania.

Yesterday we learned that Game of Thrones' Maisie Williams will star alongside Asa Butterfield in the indie drama Arrivals, and Variety is reporting that the actress is also in talks to star in The Forest Of Hands And Teeth, a film version of the Carrie Ryan Ya post-apocalyptic zombie novel of the same name. Big Beach and Raindog Films have commenced principal photography in Virginia on Loving, the director’s follow-up to Mud. Wild Bunch handles international sales and CAA represents Us rights.
Loving is inspired by Nancy Buirski’s documentary The Loving Story and centres on an interracial couple who got married in 1958 and had to fight for their marriage when they were thrown in jail.
